60 Best Zombie Movies

Locked

#1 by valerie » Mon Nov 30, 2020 10:22

I decided to go on a Zombie movie adventure......well, sort of.
Many of the movies listed I have already watched but I noticed there are many I have not.

The other night I watched number 1 and last night I watched number 3.

Today I decided to look up the best Zombie movie list and that is where I located:
60 best zombie movies of all time | Entertainment | richmond.com

Both number 1 and 3 including many others, I had already watched more than once.
But hey, they are fun to watch (just turn your head when they show gory stuff).

Wow, you are on a roll  How appropriate and fitting considering this pandemic and the results of the election

Kinda defeats the purpose of watching Zombie movies :P Better yet, not watch them for sensitive minds, many of those movies are now reality, we are smack in the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse.

I think I have seen only maybe 1 or 2 from the list :D I'm pretty sure I saw Dawn of the dead, and it certainly wasn't a 7.4 worthy rating on IMDB, as far as the gore, well it can't be worse than real life and the virus eating people from the inside out.

Darkstar2, you are missing some very good movies. haha!

Train to Busain is really good and good acting.

Shaun of the Dead is hilarious.

It's cold and snowing here today so I cooked beans and cornbread.
Nothing better than to wrap up in a blanket on the sofa, eat, and watch a zombie movie!

PS. 28 Days is good too

Yeah nothing better than to get a glimpse of what we will all become pretty soon. Snowing already ? Hmm no snow here, just rain and mild weather with a 90% chance of COVID19 :P

I think a lot of movie writers will get inspired by 2020 to write movies........... If you watched Stephen King's The Stand, it is quite similar to what we are going through, only in The Stand the pandemic started in the US and no bats were involved :D

What if there was a virus somewhere being developed in a lab, that basically brought dead bodies to life, but instead of your soul operating the body it would be the virus itself, I mean we have technology now to clone humans, create viruses (ask China!), create AI, etc, so imagine an engineered virus that literally transforms dead corpses into zombies, should I start writing movies ? the concept is not new though, but I think a lot of what we see in those horror movies are manifesting right now to some degree, and eventually I think we will start seeing movies inspired by the new coronavirus - already they started incorporating COVID19 storylines in existing and new TV dramas, etc.

and now the world was subject to bad news - the Zombie apocalypse will be extended possibly for a few more years - as the world health organisation (puppets to China) has said that even with a successful vaccine, people will still have to wear a mask and keep distance for quite a very long time, and it could be a new normal, and eventually we might all be walking with hazmat suits too who knows, so the Zombie Apocalypse is here, we ARE living in a horror situation, minus the gore part you see in films - but what if COVID19 mutated into a new super duper virus that bored holes in your skin and flipped your insides outward.

BTW I found Trump's speech HILARIOUS could not stop laughing, didn't know Trump was a comedian, when he said I caught COVID19 it wasn't my fault, I thought it was COVID21, that was BRILLIANT - it's nice to see Trump with a sense of humour, good one though, clever, twisted, dark humour

I watch zombie movies on Amazon Prime.

If you have never watched the 1968 number 1 zombie movie 'Night of the Living Dead',
watch it. Amazon prime has the color version.

People like myself, understand that movie more so than most because we grew up in that era.
In 1968, I was 12 years old. It was the Vietnam War era. Martin Luther King assassination.
Seriel killing of student nurses in Chicago. Busing. Black Panthers. Woodstock. Racism.
Jimi Hendrix. Janis Joplin.

The 'Night of the Living Dead' really had a lot of what was going on in our country, in the movie
and a lot of what was not going on in our country, in the movie. The movie cost a tad over
$100,000 to make. Very low budget. The plot was remarkable. Casting a black man as the
star, was also remarkable. The movie has gone down in history as one of the top horror films
of all time. The movie is in museums. Altho the actors were unknowns, dialogue was easy
to understand and the people were relatable. The clincher was the ending.

Well Nik, I would guess that probably in the not so distant future, they'll make a
zombie movie with the 'covid-19' in the title. Perhaps they'll call it 'covid-100' or
some such as that.
