Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, urged Indians to switch off their lights for 9 minutes at 9 pm on Sunday and asked everyone to light a candle, 'diya', or mobile flashlight, to mark the fight against coronavirus.
PM cautioned Indians from venturing out on streets during the nine-minute activity.

Even though we may feel what the use of such a moment but that is great because it is the moment to show the success we have achieved in controlling the spread of the virus. India which was expected to have a huge numbers have very low counts and that is greatly due to the cooperation of the citizens for the lock down. I admire our prime minister.

It looks like that in BC they are flattening the curve with fewer
new infected, fewer in ICU and 57% recovered.
Still a long way to go,but there is hope.

In a recent paper based on the verbal autopsy data given by the Government of India for 2017, published in the Lancet Global Health journal, over 900 deaths occur every day due to respiratory tract infections. In a country where 90 per cent the population is younger, this means the actual risk of dying is very small indeed. India needs policies which are sensitive to the actual level of threat in each of its diverse states and districts, with their enormous social inequalities, the prevailing pattern of burden of the disease and the state of their health care systems, rather than a single policy for the entire nation.

In India infected numbers are not correct because of very low testing and most people wont even go to a doctor or get a test level of sanitation is very low, every time you go out wash the clothes you were wearing have a bath with soap disinfect everything you bought how many people will do it you may already have the virus in your house and could be there from a couple of hours to four days
And why switch off the lights electricity consumption is 23% lower than normal because all industry and offices are shut,as it is by Diwali everyone will be hit so hard that everyone will be sitting with everything shut

In my state there is a rural county that one top spots in country. Few articles about this in national media.

Dougherty 1217 cases 77 deaths (80 according to coroner) 1303 Case Rate per 100,000
Albany is the county seat

Now seems all southwest Georgia now a hotspot. The coroner gave a heated plea today in his press conference as he tired seeing 30 unprotected faces at visitations. This why it still spreading. The outbreak started due to two funerals but they not learning lesson so numbers still growing. He is African American as is 80% of the people who died.

Now its called part 2 of lockdown wonder how many more parts, governments are not shure what can be exempted from a lockdown because social distancing will stay for a long time,if you use public transportation or even a airplane how will social distancing work,no one will dare to step on a cruise,South Korea goes on a general election,North Korea does not want to loose the opertunity to carry our missile tests, what if people start running around everywhere and governments get forced to enforce a total lockdown, its going to be a new world the its never going to be the same again

After the announcement of extension of lockdown, people loosing nurves and creating chaos in MUMBAI thousands of people wanting to get back home were dispersed by cops it was like a riot;such scenes becoming common in Indian citys,Delhi saw such scenes two weeks ago, people being beaten up by police, shows how venerable India is to a crisis

yes police did not control in Bandra area some 1500 workers were on high way road

Due to these mistakes still the lock down will not stop nor the virus

India is in a pathetic state now

For this Maharashtra state Govt is responsible for this

when they knew the situation they would have arranged transport for these workers

A political storm boils up Maharashtra government tells the central government people are asking for train services to be resumed so that they can go home, railways are run by the central government which needs to address peoples concerns, this is how democracy functions even in the US Donald Trump has problems with state governors there is lot of disagreement because politics comes first people can suffer
