Excess always dangerous- But not water if you are

Right from the early days there is a common saying " Anything in excess is dangerous". I am writing this post based on a recent study that most of the life style diseases like blood pressure, diabetes etc are due excessive use of antibiotics and paracetamol.the study says that doctors prescribe antibiotics and parcetamol even for a simple flu that cam make many organs dysfunction and long term use causes abnormalities in the organ. It is dangerous to take medicines during mild diabetes as it will damage pancreas and create complications instead it is adviced to take enough glucose that the body needs daily and drink lot of water even if you are not thirsty, because water has the power to dissolve all unwanted wastes in the body and make the body free from all poisons. Even in blood pressure treatment also water has significance. if your blood pressure is at the brim you can reduce it by drinking lot of water . about 5 litres daily( as studies say). Water is the best natural medicine. Imagine a world without water

That's a very dangerous so called 'study'. Very dangerous!

Water is of course great for you. I drink a lot of water every day. However, water is
absolutely NOT a cure all.

I generally drink 3 to 5 litters of water daily in summer, when I exercise, to avoid dehydration, a very dangerous condition that can let us confuse and can lead to death... But drinking water in excess can cause loss of electrolytes (overhydration). I cannot explain this in more details because I just superficially heard or read about it on internet.

Traditionally people in Asian countries eat a lot of onions it reduces the risk of getting a sun stroke during accute summer conditions, everyday in the morning irrespective of the season drinking atleast 900 ml of water in a empty stomach is very healthy ,during summer consuming seven liters of water per day is recommended to keep fit unless you can take in glucose you can reduce consumption of water to about four liters per day..

Depends how hot it is in your country, water intake depends on how long your body stays hyderated, you must have heard of clean and safe drinking water drive, water is the most important constituent for survival, summer here in our country is sub 40 deg celcius places have 48-50 deg celcius temp every year people die due to the extreme heat its also because body lacks water to sustain such high temperatures for long, first thing a person is given if he lands in a hospital is glucose,a person is recommended to drink water as and when required.

What do you think glucose is?

It is sugar. When a person is getting glucose, they are not getting water, they are getting syrup.

Drink as required, means drink what is needed, also not to excess.
As in taking medicine as prescribed.

Water is not a medicine or taken by a doctors prescription, depending on your condition when you get dehydrated a doctor advices how much water your body has lost and how much you need to consume to remain hyderated, when your condition is critical because you got dehydrated just drinking water does not solve the problem, you are given an intravenous of Glucose,Glucose given in a medical condition is very different from the normal glucose it contains very low sugar, enough to replace the energy and water the body has lost, its wrong that sugar is always harmful,NO you also need sugar to maintain certain body functions, you dont get diabetes because you consume too much sugar, its because your body has stopped manufacturing insulin,a diabetic person is advised to stop sugar consumption because it will prevent the manufacturer of insulin in your body, once a person suffering from dehydration is cured doctor recomends intake of water with glucose or Electral a midical formula for oral rehydration containing mixtures of electrolytes, carbohydrates, sugar,it replaces salts and water that the body loses when you dehydrate, thats why water is the most important thing, unless you want a doctor to tell you that.its common sense.

NUTRITION VALUE OF GLUCOSE PER 100G
Energy value 368 Kcal
Carbohydrates 92g
Sugar(sucrose) 12g
Calcium 114mg
Phosphorus 57mg
Vitamin C 50mg
Its wrong to think Glucose means sugar.

Exactly water is not a complete cure or medicine for any disease but one thing is sure it can prevent many life threatening diseases . water is the most versatile compound which none will disagree. As we know prevention is better than cure it is good to drink lot of water but not too much than required. kidney stones which cannot be completely cured by medication can be prevented by drinking about 6 litres of water daily, Some viral disease can be prevented by taking lots of fluids and many other preventive values of water, As Arvind said taking too much glucose need not make one diabetic. If along with glucose he exercise daily and drink adequate water after consuming glucose can prevent diabetes if anyone agree or not I believe in that study. eventhough most studies are not accurate.

This is the reason why you are young even being a great grandmother and also happy and loyal even having suffered so much sorrows. Drinking lot of water can make one young both internally and externally

Like the world, the body is made up primarily of water. Water is a hydrator and a cleanser,
inside and out.

I won't speak for other countries but America has a really very very big problem with the
way people eat. Sugar is probably the main culprit here. They put sugar in EVERYTHING.

I buy can bean soup and can vegetable soup often, especially in the cold months of the year.
The can soup has a very small amount of sugar in it but still....shouldn't be any sugar in it.

People are not getting the exercise they need. Many jobs are sedentary. On pay days
people go the grocery stores and load up on food and junk food, come home, watch
tv and eat until bed time. They mow their yards with riding mowers. The garden by
sitting down with a comfy pad under their knees.

My street has a fair amount of foot traffic from time to time. I was mowing my yard one
day in the front and a boy about high school age stopped and ask me how I like the reel
mower. Sweat was pouring off me and I laughed. A reel mower is a rotary push mower
with blades. I replied and said 'this one has 5 blades, it cuts the grass like scissors, it's
better for the lawn, it does not use gasoline, it does not use oil, it is good to sharpen the
blades once every a couple of seasons, and it's a sauna on wheels, keeps the blood flowing,
gets the muscles bulging, and works wonders to keep the fat off the axx.

I mowed yesterday and it was really too hot for me to be out there with the reel mower.
I would take short breaks. Come in and cool off, drink some water, etc and go back out
and mow some more.

At first people looked at me like I was crazy. Now they all wave, some times stop and
ask questions. Still, I think I am the only one in this town that mows their yard with a
reel mower.

People getting too lazy and too fat.

If water is ordered by a Doctor as treatment for a condition, then at that point it is medicine.
Not all prescribed by a doctor comes from behind the counter.
Take two Aspirin, get plenty of bed rest, keep your feet raised

Aspirin is banned maybe you are used to taking banned medication or maybe in the US its still considered useful, when a person recovers in hospital for dehydration water is the most simple solution with electral its an oral rehydration formula. Which can be taken athome with water,in our country aspirin is banned.

Aspirin is banned in your country because of the prevalence of insect borne disease, and its possible effect on that.
It is expected to be lifted after the dengue season.
None of which has any bearing on what I said.

Aspirin was banned years ago the ban had nothing to do with your theory,if you got your information from Google give it back to them because dengue is only in certain parts of the country not everywhere if you think dengue is the reason it should have been available where there is no dengue problem but its a banned drug in the whole country, aspirin was banned because people got it without a prescription for headaches but it had its side effects,it was replaced with crocin which is not strong and can been taken even for headaches without a prescription.

Allow me to clear a little something up on this topic.

I worked in health care most my life and in a hospital for 8 years.

1. Water: Water is certainly great for the body. We all know man cannot live on bread alone. In fact, without water, a person will die in 3 or 4 days. Water is NOT a cure all nor a substitute for disease. Many disease are genetic, inherited, within our DNA. We should all know that water is dangerous if consumed heavily....like drowning....that is rare but not unknown.

2. Pharmaceuticals: Many drugs are the same except for the potency, manufacturer, name and PRICE. So in many countries NOT just India, one drug may be substituted for another drug that is actually the same, close to the same, different manufacturer, and different PRICE. So in India, when you talk about drugs such as Aspirin being banned, what you are more than likely talking about is price, potency, name, and drug comparisons. I don't know why it would be 'banned' as in 'illegal' to have it. For example a depression drug 'Prozac' may be sold with the name 'Fluoxitine' (may not spelled correctly) and many similar such as 'Zoloft' and many more. Some drugs such as aspirin are very often confused by people as the same as Aleve, and other over the counter popular pain meds. I strongly suspect that a form of aspirin is sold in India but under a name other than 'Aspirin'.

3. Steve Jobs: Perfect example. This man ignored medical advice until it was too late. It is said he would have lived or at least lived much longer had he taken the medical advice. Instead, he went with more 'natural' ideas such as herbs. The reason why people LIVE LONGER today is due to medical advancement in knowledge and medicine. If you are diabetic, have cancer, or anything else wrong with you, you best do what your health care professional tells you and prescribes for you. A doctor in the USA is not going to tell you to take this drug for diabetes, he is going to tell you what types of foods to avoid, what types of foods to eat, what type of exercise to do and how often, etc.

4. Excess: Yep, doing too much of most anything is too much. Plain and simple. Everything from exercising too much to eating too much. Rarely, but even water can be too much if taken in excess. A good rule of thumb is to drink water when you are thirsty and NOT sugary drinks.
