I Recently got a notice about an update to the ClixSense Privacy Policy.

I read the new addition, Mandatory "Accept or Decline", As with any reputable site.

I tried to decline.

Surprised no one commented about it.

Thoughts and Poll.

Accept Or forfeit any earnings due.

I do not wish any transfer of my user information - Unless and until I know parties involved.

(I know it is standard practice, still don't like it)

Losses add up too...

Couple of beers or $6 a month. (Usage way down)

I was more curious about the timing of the Policy update.
Or;
The quality of site owners specific to this industry.
Or;
If/When enacted, would it be a site I am already a member of?

Yes read it, and it's still there for reading for those who did not read it. I do not know why there is much fuss over it, could it be people are misunderstanding it ? Your information is already being shared all over the internet. Just the fact you use tasks, offers and surveys, your data is already being shared and monetized, how do you think those networks exist, they do not just make money on survey completes. As far as ClixSense, I trust the site and owner. It would not be any different if you used any other GPT site or crowd sourcing site. In fact by using social media, facebook, e-mail, anything online, your data is being collected, used and shared, for the most part there is nothing to fear, most of the sites collect aggregated data, but sites where you expose your information like your legal name, address, date of birth, that's the problem, but there again some GPT sites require this information to protect against fraud, though I have never provided real DOB info to e-mail and social media, just different by subtle digits, nothing big, :D people who put their whole life story online and on social media should not complain about privacy, there is no privacy online.

As far as the transition clause, it does say IN THE EVENT, it does not specifically state there is a transition, but somehow I wonder if all of this and the timing is related to the sudden and abrupt rate drops across the offers and surveys, it would be nice to have some answers from CS, as these drops will have a huge impact on earnings, particularly for those who are more active and earn more, it's all about volume, even subtle drops can translate to 2-3 figures less monthly.

So I accepted, I mean I already get disturbed by telemarketers on a regular basis and get spam by e-mail, none of which is coming from this site I am sure, so no big deal here, privacy is a myth, and as long as you are using the internet, and worse, using e-mail, social media, free services online, that notion of privacy goes out the window. Any company can write they will not disclose your info or keep it confidential, then 5 years later you hear about company x was hacked and millions of account were stolen....... Banks, credit cards, government agencies, millions of private, confidential information were stolen, so yeah privacy my arse, soon we will have to use microchip implanted in our skin, refer to the mark of the beast, revelations :D

I superficially read it...
But companies gather so much information about us nowadays that I didn't give too much attetion to it.
Each time we take a survey we give our information away, There is always a "policy privacy terms" there. In my opinion, they just gather general information without individualizing the person.
My way of dealing with privacy issues is controlling my input of personal information.

Not the part I found of interest.

There was an addition.

I haven't noticed any rate drops, if anything, an increase.

Tasks, Not here thanks.

The only offer I do here are Video Offers.

Is ClixSense taking a bigger cut? (Do To Reversals)

Not sure what that would have to do with the Policy addition.
I sense a looming Event...
Timing? Offline family business, should be about to explode.

I've been lucky... No phone calls or emails.
2 or 3 emails from ClixSense Reasearch.
2 or 3 emails from Amazon, because of recent purchase.

Few When I get credited at another GPT/Survey site. Keep 'em coming :D
Few "Your check is on it's way"

Policy Page,
We reserve the right to change our policy at any time. (I.e PayPal, eBay - when convenient I suppose)

Nope I read terms not privacy. I do not care if I want privacy than it something I should not do. If I do not want my maker or people knowing than it should not be done. If credit agencies and governments lose SSN numbers with no punishment. I tried not giving info in 1997 at school and was ahead of curve only US government and employers need that info. The SSA used tell people that. Hint they insisted on the info so I refused to fill it out got ISS for that.

Might explain why my earnings are down from downlines.

Your earnings are down from downline due to the obvious decline in work quality, there are barely any fair tasks to do nowadays, it's mostly unfair corrections and expels and/or difficult tasks. As to surveys, it is mostly tier 1 traffic, the glory days of referrals was in the old days of PTC and when things were better with tasks.

BTW I've been doing research, surveys is not the only thing going down, there are other sites paying for freelance work (transcribing, etc) that have lowered their pay rate, one of them has lowered it considerably, by more than 45%-50%, as long as people will accept to work for quarter of pennies, the decline will continue....it's hard to get referrals, considering with tasks there are barely any level 0 tasks (FAIR ones) that help boost your score to get your 3 badges to unlock more tasks, and surveys, it can be a frustration for a new user to go through DQ, off quota and bad surveys, whereas for an older member they have more patience to deal with it.

Right now is a good time again for owners to create new ponzi bux sites, I think with the downfall of PTC and GPT, the HYIP industry will grow, and perfect money + BTC is driving the scam industry, only for Tier 1 countries it is near impossible to get PerfectMoney, the only way was through Payza / EGOPAY exchangers :)

I read it. Closed out and sent a support ticket. This time, I will share.

Does this mean if you go through a sale or merger, etc. that you will not inform members BEFOREHAND?
Business Transitions
In the event ClixSense goes through a business transition, such as a merger, consolidation, restructuring, acquisition by another company, sale or assignment of rights or assets or a portion thereof, or other company change, we may transfer users’ information, including Personal Information, and other collected business data in connection with that business transition (e.g., to a subsequent owner, co-owner, or operator of ClixSense and Features, or any affiliates and trusted agents, service providers, or partners of the foregoing), including during the course of any due diligence process.

Hello Susan, no it means if we go through a sale, merger, asset buyout etc. that your information can be transferred to a new company. And, in the event this happens you would have the option to remove your data from this new company if you wish. Because of the recent GDPR regulations in Europe we had to completely rewrite our privacy and information security policies to cover all aspects of business operation. This includes the sale of the company, sale of assets, going out of business and the sharing of your personal information. Even though the US does not have strict privacy laws like Europe (yet), we expect this to happen within the next year and we believe we will be in compliance with the new regulations without having to have these policies rewritten again.

This update came from our attorneys as they said we missed this statement on the original update back in May of 2018.

Sorry for the long reply, I just wanted you to understand what this all meant.

Thanks
Jim Grago

I was so happy no longer owned sites when they implemented that rule. It stupid non EU stuff having to follow the EU stupidity or pay huge fines. Hard enough keeping up with stuff of own country.

Yep, all I got from that, if they choose to sell the program or give it to someone
else, your info is still here and it would be up to you if you want to cancel out
entirely or continue. The new owner would not be entitled to your info if you
cancel.

Can not see what difference makes to read it
