Thanks for asking TigerHeart

I was very lucky. It could of been lights out.

You know those money trays that fits in the cash registers.

That money tray was full to the gill with pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and cash.

The .38 was laying on top of the money trey and it was quiet heavy to carry.

I was carry 3 items.

Lunch bag with sandwich

Full money trey

.38 pistol

The lunch bag was in the left hand, while the .38 was on top of the money trey.

For some reason, after I step out of kitchen door, down 4 steps to the carport,
then about 6 steps to the front end of the truck, I noticed the .38 pistol started
sliding and I tried to trap the .38 with the front of the truck.

Well, that idea didn't work out to well.

Split moment thinking.

As the .38 out slid off the money trey and before it hit the carport, I thought, oh NO,
I'm in trouble now.

Then it hits the hammer and fires. Then I said, Oh NOOOO, I'm really big trouble now.

My next thought was, it fired, where is the bullet, where is the bullet hole.

I looked on the side of the carport wall to wall.

I looked up to the ceiling.

Then I thought, oh no, my uncle was in the kitchen and I looked at the kitchen door, the glass,
no bullet holes.

I looked, looked , looked and re-looked every where I had looked.

Then it dawned on me..............

If I can't see where the bullet went, then I must have the bullet.

Up to this point and with the .38 firing. I had not moved. I stood fast.

I was worried on two accounts.

That my uncle was not shot.

The whipping with the leather belt I was going to get.

After I couldn't see where the bullet went, I looked down at the money trey I was still holding.

Everything good so far. I see my hands. No bullet hole in the money trey.

Then I moved my arms forward extending the money trey outwards where I could see the ground.

I wore boots this day, don't know why, just did. It was also my favorite day of the week of school.

On this school day was my flute music class. Learning to play flute, the following year went on to
play the trumpet in the high school marching band and was 2nd chair sat next to lead 1st chair.

Once I moved that money trey, seen the .38 laying flat on the carport, I looked at the tip of my
boots, then followed my paints leg up and oh boy, their was blood every where on both pants
legs.

That's when I panicked, I threw the money trey forward and money went everywhere, I went hoping
around the truck on my right foot yelling, I been shot, I been shot, I been shot.

Stay tuned, more to this story............

what are you confused about?

I could give you the short version.

Instead I'm giving you the play by play how it all went down.
