Thanks to you all for your input on my question concerning the reverse mortgage pros and cons. I think now that it is not the best way to go in using the equity we have in our home. I suppose one would be better off to sell it and maybe get a smaller place and use the remaining cash for things we enjoy.

Wow, that's great. Ours will be paid in another 7 years. Bah! I have been seriously considering a reverse mortgage on our house. Have you heard of anyone who has done this and if so, do you know the downsides to this type of deal?

Sunday wasn't too great for me either. I tried over 50 different surveys and didn't qualify for a single one. Luckily Kiip Rewards was paying one cent for each survey attempted, so I did make enough there to qualify for the checklist bonus. Sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug. Gotta keep on trying. Maybe next week will be better.

Do you have puter glasses? » Post #4

I've heard that floaters are annoying. My husband has them, but sometimes they are worse than at other times. I have a cataract in my right eye and I can tell that it has worsened since my last check-up. Do the computer glasses help you with the eye strain? I've never tried them.

Do You Take the Flu Shot? » Post #10

Fri Jan 19, 2018 09:12 in General Talk

I usually get a flu shot each year, but I underwent a very serious illness not long ago and my doctor advised that in my rundown state the vaccination wouldn't be advisable until my immune system built up a little. I'm feeling a little stronger now but the flu is running rampant in our area and I feel like it would be a risk to go to a doctor's office or any other medical facility due to the number of sick people and the germs, so I am just taking my vitamins and biding my time until flu season has passed. Pray that I don't contract the flu. Too bad they can't give you the vaccine in a vial so you can inject yourself at home like you do with insulin.

Wishing you all good health.

You have to wear a tux I think. Oh and you must have a red carnation on your lapel. I think the women have to wear formal gowns and elbow length gloves. I have mine ready. however I usually don't cash out but every three months or so. I like to get a large check. :D

My favorite was The Jetsons. I loved all the futuristic technology they had like the flying car that turned into a briefcase, the instant meals and I'm still waiting for a robotic maid like theirs.

"meet George Jetson...lalala... his wife Jane... Now I have that theme song stuck in my head.
