@Tasman1 and all, here is their reasoning why war posts are being removed, it's simple, they are just enforcing the rules down in stone - not all rules were enforced before, even though rule #13 was created by Valerie and she specifically said why at the time - the reasoning behind why the war topics are removed are so wrong, because none of them are violating the rules.
Let's analyse.
Rule #1, was not being violated in any of the topics about war. Neither was #2.
Let's look at #3

Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law will not be tolerated.
None of the topics infringed any laws, threatened or invaded privacy, nothing hateful other than of the actions of the perpetrator of the war, it was discussion about general news, even kids are aware of the events and more aware of world events - nothing offensive or personal in any of those topics - the only exception would be posts that suggest assassinations these would definitely cross the line, but otherwise for the rest - it's absurd.
Rule #10 is a solid reason why no topics should be restricted here other than the ones already mentioned, (nudity, adult material, copyright, etc.) Here's why:

The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of ClixSense or its staff. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to use the reporting system.
First of all, this is ySense not ClixSense, and site is not held accounatble for opinions expressed on forum, or in other words the opinions are expressed by their respective authors and not necessarily shared by company. It would be a good idea to change ClixSense to ySense
Rule #13, no politics or religion - this was a rule Valerie created because at the time it was warranted - and necessary - but she later allowed it as long as the discussions were kept on a level that does not violate the other forum rules.
Proof this rule was relaxed is all these discussions about politics and elections over the years were kept there.
Religion yes that can be a hot subject, but politics and general / current events like a war should be allowed to be discussed, there is no VALID reason otherwise - unless the topics could generate clashes between members - something religion topics can, but even so compared to some of the days on CS, there has been far fewer clashes here.
So let me get this straight we were allowed to discuss the January 6 riots, the Ottawa Convoy conflit, Elections, etc, but cannot discuss about the invasion of Ukraine by Russia ? because of Rule #13 even though the person who created this rule specifically said she allowed discussions falling in those categories - in other words that rule was not consistently enforced - and tolerated as long as things did not get personal - I guess at time it should have been edited that rule

Sometimes your own rules can come bite you in the arse later ! So I guess if there is WW3 and the whole world is in shambles, we won't be allowed to discuss?
It's always been a project of mine to start own forum, I even dabbled with forum software in the past, I would if I had time, but I am only here most of the time late evenings, and not as much as before, so no time for that. At a time of a war and major consequences for the world, are people interested in reading other topics ? They should watch the engagement in those topics and figure it out
