No thank you I'll pass, give me some free oreo cookies instead

For the rest, you nailed it - Valentine's Day is just another "Commercial" BS day - Why do we need a dedicated day for people to express their love, can't it be done any time of year - this is a commercialised day for retailers to fill their pockets - TRUE love is not about buying expensive diamonds or chocolates on the 14th though, so yeah, happy whatever day - Happy COVID Valentine's Day and on the 15th, people are back to their true character, just likeafter xmas, when people remove their fake masks.

People can love for 1 day max , maybe that is a reason Valentine day last only one day , just to remember that we was in love one day

B.T.W. That is not valid for me , If I see today 20 or 50 women on the street I fall in love with all in instant .... for 1 min

You fall in love with their bodies - it works both ways you know - that's not love Tasman1  See, people confuse lust and physical attraction with actual true love - Valentine's Day could also be one of those "Hey we haven't shagged in 5 years, we might as well do it today why not" kind of days - so yeah maybe the 14th has some advantages for some, an excuse to actually show your love, because you didn't for a whole year - it's only that days like these are just commercial, because there is always expectations of a gift - Same for Mother's Day, Father's Day, why do people need "days", how about Dog day, Cat day, etc, can't people appreciate their mum & dad all year long, why the need for a day ? the whole thing is commercial - and for Christmas it's the expectations of gifts, getting stoned cold and drunk for some - and once that time of year passes people revert back to their grumpy selves, do people know the true meaning of these holidays other than retailers siphoning your wallet with their shoddy products and crap ?

Do you really need to buy a huge bouquet of flowers and a huge box of turtles chocolate to show your love ? WELL you can do so because your partner loves these things, but that still does not prove your love, proving your love is through actions you do on a daily basis, it's not based on what you do for ONE day in a year because it's Valentine's Day, because it is just that, Valentine's Day, not love day. and for couples in a toxic relationship where the guy beats his partner to the pulp, he can act fake that day and show his "love", and resume his beating until the following Valentine's Day next year. It's pathetic really - Be it a man or a woman, either way, you can figure out quickly if your partner loves you for your gifts and your body and bank account or for your true self - and the odds are usually not in your favour  So before you "fall in love" with those 10-20 blondes, you better have something to show for, and your willy isn't enough, you need to up the ante a little (no pun intended)

Indeed, and some are born on xmas day, some are born on January 1st........ But I wonder, what happens if you are born on February 29th, a leap year day, does it mean that you celebrate your birthday every 4 years ? That's kinda cool, aging by 1 year every 4 years  :P

If u r born on a leap year Feb 29, you have the option of celebrating your birthday on Feb 28th or March 1st.

Google 'St Valentine' some time to understand exactly what Valentine's Day represents. Most people don't know.

Exactly, the same can be said about Christmas - the problem is, these have been transformed into a retail holiday and a fake mask.

This is an excerpt from the text:
Quote:
his Saints' Day has been associated with a tradition of courtly love.

No, more like a tradition to spend a lot of money buying material because your partner expects it, people show love with chocolates and flowers that die off in 2 days, and chocolates that go down the chute the same way they entered at the top. If people need a single day to show "courtly love" then something is wrong. Sure if you look online you will find the roots of these traditions, but these roots have been mangled to the benefit of the retail industry - it benefits retail more than it benefits love - it's not love, if the very next day couples are back to their old ways.

Another tradition that should be banned - birthdays. I mean why would anybody want to celebrate their progressive demise ? Every birthday you are one step closer to your crypt, them worms are waiting anxiously and salivating
So why celebrate you getting closer to your death ? Even the death is an industry, operated by the mob, they are the ones who are celebrating - I mean why are people celebrating their birthdays - I mean that is fine if you are 5 years old, 10 years old, 15 years old, but it wears off eventually. There are 2 sides of the story, whilst you are getting closer to your death, for some, they cannot count the days - for example, a 25 years old on his/her birthday would say "still have another 50 miserable years to go, can't happen fast enough", it's common for people to wish you happy birthday and say "May you have many happy returns" "May you have another 50", another 50 what ? :lol; So yeah birthdays, another retail event, though much less that the other holidays and events.

As far as leap yer birthdays, I know that obvious - was just brainstorming on the possibility of having people choose to celeberate their birthday (I mean demise) every 4 years instead.

The only moment in life where a birthday is something to celebrate, is when they discover the fountain of youth, and when the life expectancy will be 300 years old (meaning 300 years old will be today's 80 years old) only problem is, how are you gonna save enough money to last you that long - so you see - this is a damned if you do damned if you don't. A birthday is not a day to celebrate, because you are one step closer to the worms munching on you, or for your ashes to be on display and long forgotten.

Happy Birthday, you are one step closer to making your funeral director happy and pretend to care :D

Yeah here's so much love in this world - brother against brother, sister against sister, kids against parents, shootings, gangs, crime, civil unrest, rape, conjugal violence, divorces, yeah can you feel all the love ?

Yeah I guess world is back to normal, on February 14, it's chocolates and jewelry, and on the 15th you sign the divorce papers

If you love someone truly, you don't NEED to buy them ******* chocolate or flowers, it's what you do all year long - how many people really buy stuff because they WANT TO, because they feel good about it, vs. they feel the need to because they won't get any and sleep on the couch (or in the chest freezer) ?

You are no example Tasman1, you've already fallen into the marriage trap  For sure the free market is cheaper, but watch out, it's tricky it can actually end up costing you more if you fancy gold diggers

You want the cheapest outcome ? Stay single, and invest $20k-$25k into a custom made real doll, it might be the best investment you have made, and no argument there, FAR cheaper than marriage or casual dating or for some, the "free market" as you call it :P You cannot buy true love or true friendship with money or gifts, this only buys you booty that day instead of you sleeping on the couch :P or out on the veranda with the funnel web spiders!

As far as the mental health part, spot on, you nailed it, that part is very important, because the moment you listen to the bullshit and say "I DO", you know your mental health has taken a toll, it's dropped down by 50%, right off the bat :D

Now I am confused even more now - the suspense is thickening. I mean sure some people are born on Valentine's day, I don't know what's the big deal, it's just another day. Some people die that day, probably more people that die that day - so what's the secret here, I must have missed something. Some people are CONCEIVED on the 14th of February I guess but that's a different story. I actually meant the commercial event should be banned, not the actual day obviously, if February 14 was banned, than people born on that day would never have a birthday, but I guess they would just celebrate on the 13th or the 15th........so what is the big reveal now ? (I'm still pretty gosh darned confused)

as far as this place is concerned it's probably on countdown anyway,

:D

I dunno I remember on some survey sites I used to give 14th Feb as my DOB, the correct year just a few days difference, though I still fail to see the relation, so what if people are born on the 14th, there is a big mystery here, can't wait to see her reply now

P.S. As far as the quality, well find another supplier, there's plenty of those in Australia :D
