I know many governments had hoped they could contain the spread of the virus by telling people to be anti-social, Actually im surprised that health and virus experts couldn't predict this scenario, The only way to lower the spread and infections is by locking down completely, Strict measures won't work in this situation.
Where did you get that idea ? Before the pandemic I have been following the news, there has been LOTS of warnings from experts, doctors, that what appeared to be a local outbreak could become a serious pandemic, the issue here is that the WHO (World Health Organisation) delayed in declaring a world emergency, probably at the request of another country, or pressure to avoid panic and economic collapse, even days / weeks of delays can make a huge difference. In early stages there were no mass tests, it is now known that during this window of time it was too late, community spread had already started and people had no symptoms ! it was too late to stop anything - despite experts who had said that mass testing must be done early, the problem is world leaders and governments did not take the threats seriously, dismissing the pandemic threat, and claiming that their country is safe and that it is just a few isolated cases.............ALL the warnings were there, they are not called experts for show........ A lot of input from experts and epidemiologists came out at the time, long before it was declared a pandemic.
Yet, experts also DID predict the scenario of a second wave or more waves, this is typical of viral outbreaks, mutations and waves, usually further waves are nastier, usually the winter season is the worse for viruses, why do we have a Flu season ? SO no surprise that cases are going up - it's the normal process of viruses, as long as there is no cure, vaccine or herd immunity, the up / down cycle will continue - as long as there are hosts for the virus to thrive, it will continue on and on.......... Locking down only DELAYS the spread, but the virus is STILL there in the community, after all people still have to go to the groceries, work, etc, all lockdowns do is lower the numbers, but once you re-open, numbers will go back up UP UP.
LOL!!, In Denmark they are terrified that infections per day now has an average of 1000 +/-, But what in the holy crap did they expect???, Something with 20 infections per day while keeping the society almost completely open until 22 pm???.
1000 and they are making a fuss, wow, in Canada by near year it is expected we will get 10,000 a DAY. In America, it will be over 200,000 A DAY. In some provinces in Canada, there 25-50 DEATHS a day........
I am concerned about the numbers reporting how much is real, how much is inflated... Apparently the testing does not exactly detect the exact strain - so who knows how many false positives there are, how many people are declared positive that are actually positive - Look at the number of cases going to the hospital vs. infections, something is odd, and they say majority of cases are asymptomatic, are they or are there too many false positives ? And the number of deaths reported in hospitals, that's another thing, how many are truly from COVID19 - people die every day in hospitals, this has been the case before the pandemic, how many hospitals are profiting from dismissing deaths as COVID19......NOW just watch, when the vaccine is FDA approved and officially announced, even before people get vaccination, just watch carefully, you will see reported deaths and numbers decrease, just like that, by magic, this will be a good key indicator of this whole mangling of information.
This virus is REAL, it's not a hoax, people die, it's infectious, BUT how much of the numbers we are given is true, remember the higher the numbers, the higher the deaths, the more fear, the more VALUE the vaccine gains, some people out there are making crap loads of money out of this pandemic.
Ah the fear-mongers are really drumming loud while they tell horrible tales off people with terrible symptoms caused by having the virus and the terrible cluster 5 mutation that is sure to create an zombie-apocalypse sooner or later (It turned out that the cluster 5 was not that dangerous anyway), But that didn't stop the Danish government (we are now communists) in killing 17 million mink and shut down the northern part of Jutland.
Well nowadays you cannot be too careful and you have to be proactive. Had people worried too much and prepared for the worst case scenario FROM THE START, we would not be in pandemic - One day they can tell you this is dangerous, another day, this is not dangerous, and 1 year later, oh yeah it was dangerous after all - it's always better to side with the negative, so you can be prepared - unfortunately this time there is collateral damage. Remember in the beginning some country claimed the virus cannot transmit from human to human, they waited and waited until eventually they were compelled to say "OOOPS, it does transmit human to human" but only delaying a few days, weeks, can make a HUGE difference, thousands already infected, and infecting others, this is what happened - why the bloody hell assume the best scenario from the start, we are talking about viruses here, you MUST ALWAYS assume the worst, this way you are ready - and the worst that can happen is, you worried too much - but you are still alive and nobody dies.
Flu season and common cold season, I wonder how many more people will go get tested for COVID19 - people are scared now, the mere cold symptom they go get tested, so yeah obviously the numbers will increase, how many of those with common colds go get tested and return positive results, are they really positive for COVID19, since the test itself does NOT detect the strain of the virus, so I have a feeling this winter a lot of positive tests will be attributed to people with the common cold - there are also many people who die of the Flu, how many of those will be reported as COVID19 deaths ? It's quite alarming.
We can't close our societies because they are dependent on the economy, If this had been an zombie-apocalypse most hings would probably still be open (As long as it lasted).
That sounds like an argument Trump would give to the press
It would be pointless anyway to shut everything down during a zombie apocalypse, at that point there is nothing to lose, you are doomed either way, so might as well enjoy whatever is left of this "life experience"
I guess now is a good time to start learning the Zombie dance, from Michael Jackson's Thriller -
