Scam or not ...

Locked

#1 by D3rva » Wed Jul 08, 2020 17:39

Is this email@ysense-email.com official ySense email, which I doubt as never received such a email?

Just to clear it up as probably some members will receive similar or same email so not to be scammed.

From the Helpdesk the headers are:

from: Compliance (ySense) <support@ysense.zendesk.com>
reply-to: ySense <support+xxxxxx@ysense.zendesk.com>
to: Valerie xxxxxxxx <xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
date: Sep 3, 2019, 6:19 PM
subject: Your ticket xxxxxx has been updated!
mailed-by: ysense.zendesk.com
signed-by: zendesk.com
security: Standard encryption (TLS) Learn more
: Important mainly because you often read messages with this label.

I placed the xxxx to edit out my name and email address.

If you look at the headers, it will generally tell you where in fact the email came from.

That`s the email and as I mentioned I suspected straight away but mostly posted here so somebody could read it and realized that even if email looks like genuine could be something else.

Without seeing the headers, I don't know and can only guess.

The email message contains improper English. For example, one word is not a
sentence. A sentence never begins with the word 'And'. In a professional email,
the first word in a sentence would never be 'And'. There's a lot of mistakes in
that message.

To see the headers you should be able to click on something in
the 'to' field.

....bla bla from so and so to you unsubscribe
^

See that little mark, you should see something like that and when clicked
you can see who really sent the message. Don't click the unsubscribe.
