New Movies?

Anyone watch any good newer movies?

I usually don't bother to rent a movie unless I think it is going to be excellent but
I rented a few in the past week.

'Upgrade' - I kind of liked this movie. It was thought provoking too.

'Summer of 84' - I really liked this movie. Similar to some other movies I have
watched in the past but still, I liked it.

Another movie I watched that was on Amazon Prime is not new I don't think 'Subericon' or 'Suberbia'
with Matt Damon. I did think it was a tad of a copy cat of 'Fargo' but it was different than that and I
liked it.

I'm wanting to go see the new 'Halloween'.

These are not completely new, But still i think they're worth a watch (They went pretty off the radar)

Please stand by (2017) Watched this by accident, And it turned out to be a quite quirky weird one, Dakota Fanning does a pretty good job playing an autistic woman.

Gone are the days (2018) A western, And definitely NOT!!! the usual run off the mill.

Land of mine (2017) A Danish movie where they almost only speak German, A movie on how the young German soldiers wer'e treated like garbage by Danish officers and forced to remove mines as a punishment after the end of the second world war (If you can find it with english subtitle) or you understand German.

And then all the nasty stuff.

Ghost stories (2017)
Maggie (2015) Arnold Schwarzenegger in a zombie movie, And a pretty sad one.
Mom and Dad (2017) When parents go mad (With Nicolas Cage)
Unsane (2018) Psychic stuff.
Geralds Game (2017) A man dies of a heart-attack after sex while his wife is hand-cuffed to their bed, That's the whole plot.
Cell (2016), A cure for smartphone addiction

Ah okay, Australian movies are crap then.

Asian action movies :D , It's a tradition in Denmark to watch a badly choreographed Chinese/Japanese kung-fu movie with a good hangover ;)

I've got to see the new Halloween simply because it is a tradition and
Jamie Lee Curtis is in this one as she was in the very first one.
Funny thing is she said she never watches horror movies but that is
basically how she got her start in movies (by acting in them).

Is it also the same actor who plays as Michael myers?

And who is it anyway??

The charachter that scared me the most as a kid was defenitely Freddy krueger, The nightmare on Elm street series scared me half to death back then.

Nick Castle played the original Michael Myers.

If u look here it displays the list of actors who played him (right column)
Michael Myers - Wikipedia(Halloween)

Always different actors that plays him. Of course, all that actor does is
walk around looking creepy. hahahahaha

I dunno If I have ever watched every Halloween movie that was made because
they are so much alike...many of them. The thing is, after awhile the movies
became almost more funny than scary. You knew what was going to happen
at almost every scene.

I am not sure I could handle watching every one of them back to back but maybe
I'll give it a try some day.

Forget the new Halloween...at least don't pay for it.

My sister and I went to see it today but we left about 15 minutes before it was over.
Basically it was the same ole same ole. To be fair, we left before it was over because
it was very cold inside the theater and extremely loud. There was only 8 people.
Most were upstairs watching probably A Star Is Born (lady ga ga and Cooper).

Well, I only left one movie and that is before intermission. Guardian of Galaxy - 2, because my children were feeling very cold. I like the movie very much but I have not option but to leave.

I had actually planned watching it in a couple of days (31 of October) at the cinema, :?: Maybe i should reconsider.

But again as you said, Halloween is Halloween and there's not much differentiating them, Except Michael's physical appearence, In the 2nd one he's a giant (boy is he huge), And in nr 5 he's quite small in comparison :D .

Geeeez the 3rd one is baaaad (season of the witch), It might be different but christ!! the acting is laughable (2 cups of coffee weren't enough).

Don't bother paying to watch the new Halloween.

My sister and I went to the theater to see it yesterday. We left about 20 minutes before it ended.
It was really cold in the theater and extremely loud. Even so, it was almost boring to me. I am
sure it was more exciting near the end but I still say not worth paying for.

They sort of showed his face a few times. He was a tall man with a white beard. It was basically
like the rest of the Halloween movies with him running around killing people. I jumped only one
time and that was when nothing happen. haha!

In my opinion, they really built up the movie to be much more than it is.
