12 Mar 2017 - Daylight Saving Time Starts

When local standard time is about to reach

Sunday, 12 March 2017, 02:00:00 clocks are turned forward 1 hour to
Sunday, 12 March 2017, 03:00:00 local daylight time instead

Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour later on 12 Mar 2017 than the day before. There will be more light in the evening.
Also called Spring Forward, Summer Time, and Daylight Savings Time.

You don't really lose the hour of sleep. It is just held in a special sleep bank for 8 months & you can withdraw it in November when daylight savings time finishes :D
