And RF's pricing plans were far more flexible too, they had several plans, they were far less expensive too.
Now they have only 1 plan, paid annually and charge nearly double they used to before. They also have a custom plan.
It's a competitive industry, and I think with RF's poor management and being the most expensive out there might be its breaking one day.........I'm trying to think of ANYTHING positive or any tiny bit of hope that things are improving but I'm a realist, I don't see any, I've never worked on as much training hits in the past weeks than I did in 1 year combined lol! When I look at their client list, it is the same, it has not grown, and MANY that are mentioned no longer post hits for a long time now, including ClassDojo. I have used CDOJO and see that they have a new site layout now, but there are many bugs I found using CDOJO on my own, so they could very well be using another company or stopped testing.
Reality #2: At $5k/month RF is targeting ONE market. Obviously only very big companies with lot of revenues would want to pay such money, so they limit the type of sites and clients, might not be bad really but these big companies already have their teams testing their sites, or they hire someone to do everything and manage their site.
RF once claimed they had 100+ clients..... ORLY ???? How many different sites are we testing now ?
I think Rainforest right now is like a slowly dying PTC that is showing mostly self sponsored ads and few
user ads.
Their worker base is growing fast, more people are hunting the jobs, more people are signing up to RF
and at the same time, less jobs, less clients.......
Support now is NIL, they don't respond to any tickets......They used to have a support guy who replied
quick now he's no longer working for RF........Many of the employees no longer work there anymore,
and I'm sure many lost faith in RF, because some of them removed RF references in their linked profile.
Without training hits most of us here would not even get our 10% bonus.
On days when I do 35-40, only 3 or 4 are actual client hits lol.
So at this point the whole task has become a charitable donation

"Test a training application".
I don't understand, their job listing is growing like wild mushroom, if you read their site
it looks like a company in solid growth, BUT ........ in practice, it appears totally different
with the hits we do....... On their web site the # of tests count goes up by several hundreds of thousands each day, where are all those hits posted !?!?!? they surely are not on mTurk.
So yeah, if anybody sees anything positive or thinks RF is going in the right direction please do share your point of view. I've not lost all hope yet like I mentioned before but it's been several months now and all I see is
the ball rolling down the cliff.
