Yes I remember. and it was only for a short period. I was worried and I e-mailed RF !
Any dupe IDs I had (only happened for a short while) was not my fault, in fact RF looked into it and said my account was in excellent standing and not to worry, since then, no more dupe IDs. As far as "abuse" the only abuse I was aware of people mentioning is G.T. I never did that and would not risk my CF account. Besides, it was
so easy to get hits at the time and direct ones. And even so G.T. would not cause the same person to get dupe IDs in their turk dashboard

I think they reduced this now because now there are less hits, more workers......
There are far less hits circulating now than ever before. if
one day they get more clients and more work load, I'm sure they will raise the limit even
higher. They want nothing more than hits to be completed...... More volume of work means more JOB IDs opened means they will raise the limit back to 4. And BTW, that limit was higher than 4 when I started, I remember doing 5, one time when there were 5 IDs, (I, II, III, IIII, IIIII). I think they also did this change to relieve the VMs
they want more unique sessions.

Now with so fewer hits they want to even things out, I'm all for it.

There was a time when hits were posted all day, at 1h interval, now things change, so they have to adapt.

Was not even using a single refresher back in those days. Only started using them after found out it was allowed by CF and RF, and because everyone was using it.

Seems like there's little activity now - Got an oops an hour and a half ago and been refreshing since 1.5 hours+ but still no progress! I'm damn sure now it will expire worthless. :/

I think the problem is browser extensions Auto Refresh Plus. This extension is not registered in the Google Web Store catalog. If you turn off it, the link will be opened in new tabs again. Or use "CTRL" key. Good luck!
