When you get 89 step beast and then you have to end it at step 8 cos it doesn't work.
Oh the injustice :(

I guess RF guys need to fix one important thing. Their terminal is still not ready to handle high-flashy websites.. like popsugar, splash (which I got today). These flashy websites always are damn damn slow and keep hanging repeatedly.

lol - don't forget MixBook.

Not only that the terminals RF use don't support audio, they don't pass through audio, so
when you have hits asking us if we can see the video and hear the audio, it makes it difficult for us.

The test authors have no idea what we testers go through and how we are treated by RF.

But a terminal is a terminal, there are limits, it will never be fast enough to properly handle heavy sites.

When RF first started with the terms it was twice as slow as it is now, these days they paid 8 cents per step......:D

Now it is not so bad compared to what it was before.

I just saw the interface those Authors get..(well we have seen it already in our Training Hits). But the most important part was - I saw how passes and fails (bugs) are displayed to them. I liked that system. It gives you the number of passes and fails and shows you screenshot of every fail and shows "tester's comment". I actually loved the interface.

But, despite this cool thing, I'm pretty damn sure some Authors are just lazy enough to not actually go through the rejections (which may be very few in number - sometimes there is honestly a bug) but they'll just ignore it and be happy with whatever pass they got (yes workers). 8-)

Won't work if you do that :( The terminal won't load. The page changes before the terminal area opens, so even by stopping page, you will see an inactive term - Been there, at the very beginning, if only it were that easy :D

It is a very poor system they have where the HIT opens FIRST then it tells you too many connection instead of having code check the VM stack state first and then open a session. Sometimes I wonder what kind of people
they hire over there.

Tip for you, when you get the too many workers first time (and see a hit window then quickly change)
don't refresh it right away. You are GUARANTEED the HIT since you got the session and it is floating
Refresh only after a while, wait at least a minute, you have only a limited number of retries once a HIT
window opens.....Once they free slots you WILL get the HIT for sure, since it was already opened
and it is "floating" session reserved for you. If you keep refreshing it you will lose it after certain
retries.

The author has a new interface since june of this year, there is a LIKE and a BAN button.
Authors can reward good testers and BAN bad testers. :D
Normally when there are some fails to a test RF will re-run the same test with another set of workers.

It's up to author to do what they want from there, but if they are competent they will look why
there are fails. One thing, unlike CF where task authors can abuse and flag, on RF, it has
to go through RF first. This is where RF is better than CF in so many ways.

Lol, they're on a huge-time hiring spree. Just saw Russ' Twitter...I see vacancies for all positions - from Marketing to Data Scientist to Dev ops to Junior Engineer.. Well I recommend you to get onboard...there's remote work allowed :P

Wait, so that implies they hit the "Ban" button but then RF reviews if there was genuinely a mistake on our part before we actually get the Ban?

In June 2015 they introduced "transparency view" to authors, where they can see MORE info about testers. The BAN button is used to ban consistently BAD testers (people who PASS tests that FAIL or FAIL tests that should pass, etc.) It is unclear of whether the BAN button bans right away but I have been told by RF higher up that
all bans are usually manual except the automatic ones (rare unless you really purposely do something)
IF you do get a ban, you can get your account reviewed. by RF.

Unlike CF where many task authors are users, RF has BIG clients, who pay $30k+ yearly, so less likely for abuse there unless you really are bad.
