Your question is a bit confusing.

You stated you invested nothing here but that would not be true.
I see you are a premium member.
That means, you invested.

You've invested at least $17.00, perhaps more depending on any
past upgrades.

You would then simply subtract your investment from your profit.
That gives you your return on investment. Simple math.

Maybe he means he didn't invest from his pocket, but used his earnings here to upgrade. I'm just saying...

Cheers!

ROI can be computed by dividing the difference of your net earnings by your total upgrades or cost paid. It's like for every $1 upgrade, how much has returned to you?

Your net earnings is the the total earned less cost of upgrades or it can also be total amount you have withdrawn plus your remaining balance.

When you started, you did not pay anything for your upgrade, so you don't have ROI to compute.

But the moment you paid for your upgrade, that's when you can compute your ROI.

Let's say your total earned is $1,003 and you have upgraded for $17, so:

ROI = ($1,003-$17)/$17 = $58

It would be an investment if you used money you earned.

If someone else upgraded you, it would not be an investment since you didn't make it.

Here are the links for two Return on Investment (ROI) calculators.

First one is general with only few options. The second is better with lots of them. You can enter inside number of days, exact period of time (start and end date)...etc... ;)
