Do you buy ice cream that is in plastic buckets?
I often do. I wash them out and stack them in my shop. My main use is feeding my raccoons with them.
I fill an ice cream bucket with dog food to take to the tree feeders. Another use for them is cat litter. I keep
large bags of cat litter in the shop and it makes it handy to put the amount needed in the ice cream bucket,
when I change the cat litter box.
There's not much telling how many plastic ice cream buckets I have throw away. A lot.
So as I washed out yet another empty ice cream bucket today, I started thinking about uses for empty
plastic ice cream buckets. I even came across some good ideas online but first, here is what I came up
with :
-Chalk board them. I'm not sure if chalk board paint would work but there is chalk board vinyl. Cover
the empty bucket with chalkboard vinyl. Write whatever you want it.
-Contact paper. Decorate them with contact paper. Also could use labels or make your own labels.
After they are decorated, here is some ideas:
*Place your nail supplies in one. Nail polish, emery boards, cotton balls
*Place cleaning supplies such as for the washing/wax the car
*Place household cleaning supplies in some of them
*Store popcorn
*Store extra K-cups
*Store computer stuff like extra mouses, wires, etc
*Store screws and bolts
*Store small tools
*Store cosmetics
*Place those little pieces of used soap in them
*Make a small trash can for your office or kids room
*Place your pets small toys in them
*Place your pets treats in them
*Store those knit winter caps/hats/etc
*Store staples like bags of flour/rice
*Store small children's toys/blocks, etc
There's a gazillion uses. What's also nice is they stack so well. I seem to be getting crafty these days...don't
ask me why, I have no idea. Maybe crafty hits you when you're in your 50's.
