Help me find this movie - African American actors » Post #1

Sun Apr 28, 2013 17:27 in General Talk

It's a movie that came out about 4 years ago.

Most all the main characters in the movie, is African Americans.

I rented it several years ago when I received Netflix dvds by mail. The movie was new that year.

For the kind of movie it is, I thought it was one of the best I had ever seen. I wasn't familiar with
the actors and I was so surprised that the movie was so good. I didn't think I'd forget the name of it,
but I have.

I want to think it was a one name movie.

It was a ganster type movie but it also had a lot of dry humor. Seems like it started out with a guy
finding a sack of money at his apartment door. The movie is action packed from start to finish. I
think the movie takes place in Detroit, or perhaps Chicago or LA.....a large city.

Anyone know which movie I am referring to and have the name of it?

About to float away over here » Post #1

Rain Rain Rain Rain

We're all about to float away in this part of the earthling territory. I'm in the west part of TN, not far from Memphis and Nashville. Everything here is drenched, to say the least.

I tell ya, yesterday morning, I opened the door to a small young rabbit with half his head chewed away.
That's something my cats never get, a rabbit. The reason why they got this young little rabbit is because
he probably got flooded out of his hole in the ground. That's the bad thing for rabbits, they can't climb a tree,
not much way for them to protect themselves. I sure hated to see that. Usually it's moles and mice. Not much
birds now since I keep bells on their collars. I tell ya something, cats are right mean predators. We should all
be glad the little house cat is not a big house cat because we'd all be cat food if they were.

If this rain keeps up, I'll need to build an ark.

Also learn to write like a professional and use professional words instead of words like 'PTC' and 'Paid to Click' and that sort of garb.

Instead, talk about how one can earn extra money for viewing videos and advertisers content.

You do certainly have to follow the rules of the free blog companies out there. But some times you can get away with them for a long time if you talk between the lines.

What happen to 4 Way Crackers? » Post #4

Fri Apr 26, 2013 07:59 in General Talk

There was something else the other day that I realized did not seem to be made any more...I can't remember what it was.

I do really miss those big 4 way crackers. You could break them into 4 crackers or break them into 2 crackers or not break them at all. They really are good for cheese and peanut butter. Instead of spreading one little cracker at a time, could make big 4 way cracker. :P

What happen to 4 Way Crackers? » Post #1

Just wondering. Guess I'll have to do a search and see.

Last night, I was eating a slice of cheese, the sandwich size cheese.
I take it and fold the cheese over a couple of times to make small squares to eat one at a time, on a cracker.
Then it hit me! I remembered when I was a kid, I never broke the cheese into squares. I'd take to big
crackers which consisted of 4 crackers stuck together to form a big sandwich size cracker, and place my
slice of cheese on it, place another big 4 way cracker ontop, and TADA!......I had a cheese cracker sandwich.

Ok, I'm losing it!

Any of you other folks out there my age ever wonder what happen to good stuff that you cannot find any more?

Just guessing, probably because it is a large amount in comparison.

Beware of hacker: » Post #10

No not email at all. A program in which we place our email and our paypal account.
Actually, a traffic exchange THUMBVU and some months ago, the owners sold it and the new owners
changed some things around. One day I went to log in and it said I did not exist. I did not bother to
fool with it at the time and so the other day, I did go back and try to send for password and all
said I don't exist. I pinch myself to see if I exist.....yep, I exist.

I submit a support ticket. Some guy with handle of Larry something or other, replies and says he will
give me a temporary log I log in. What I find is that hacker has his email in the contact info
and in the paypal payment slots.

I directly sponsored a few hundred members there and some are paid members. Seems they been
doing the payments differently too. Before members would pay optionally for several months, or a year.
Sponsor gets percentage. Now it looks like they doing something monthly. I don't know, all of it's weird.
So I can only advise not to participate at thumbvu because system appears to no longer be secure plus
it's all weird the way it's been changed.

Do your referrals need some encouragement? » Post #2

Sun Apr 21, 2013 08:50 in General Talk

I don't see any encouragement in that.
All that is, is the old 'power of 3' explanation. I wouldn't go so far as to call that encouragement.

By the way, there is a problem with the old 'power of 3' explanation.
The problem is, it's not a rule, it's a theory and the theory generally does not work.
It's more of a chain and chains get weak and when they get weak, they tend to break.

US Member looking for some advice on filing taxes » Post #12

Legally, it doesn't matter if you receive the w-4's from anything because legally you are suppose to file
if you have made more than such and such number over the course of the tax year. I say such and such
number because I am not exactly sure what that number is. However, I think that number is $5,000.

Of course, programs and companies that do not send you a w-4, that do not report earnings, legally you
are still bound to report it but most people probably don't. There's no true record of it since the company
did not report it.

Be careful about reporting a different building for your office that is not your home.

The best thing you can do is talk to your tax man about what you can claim and what you are legally bound to submit.
Just going by what someone tells you on a forum, is a bad idea.

The Night Light

A 90-year-old man goes for a physical.
All of his tests come back with normal results.
The doctor says, "George, everything looks great. How are you doing mentally and emotionally? Are you at peace with God?"

George replies, "God and I are tight. He knows I have poor eyesight, so He's fixed it so when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, poof! The light goes on. When I'm done, poof! The light goes off."

"Wow, that's incredible," the doctor says.
A little later in the day, the doctor calls George's wife. "Ethel," he
says, "George is doing fine! But I had to call you because I'm in awe of his relationship with God. Is it true that he gets up during the night, and poof, the light goes on in the bathroom, and when he's done, poof, the light goes off?"

"Oh sweet Jesus", exclaims Ethel. "He's peeing in the refrigerator again!

You mean the tiny number count to the left of the forum?
That simply allows members to know there is some surveys awaiting for them to do.
It helps in regards to members earning more money and sponsors earning more money too.
