I guess the thing to do if one really wanted to know the number of beans, is to count the beans in one 16oz bag.
Then multiple that number by 18.
Actually came across some research online about how to guess the number of jelly beans in a jar.

It said to count the number of beans in one row of the jar, times the width of the jar, then count the number
of rows, then multiple.
The next time you see a contest to guess the number of jelly beans or beans in a jar, you could use that information.
