Some Nice Fish we got yesterday » Post #12

I don't think a person would ever starve as long as the fish are biting.

What state are you in? Alaska?

Not Going To Renew Premium Upgrade » Post #29

Sat Mar 01, 2014 08:41 in General Talk

I think this topic has gone on way past it's initial disclosure.

If a member wants to upgrade, he/she can and if a member does not want to, he/she doesn't have to.
Everyone has their own reasons why he/she chooses to upgrade or not.

It certainly doesn't take a rocket scientist or mathematician to decide to upgrade or not.

Topic Closed.

No ClixGrid Win Since Jan 7, 2014 » Post #13

A Premium member has 60 chances a day to try to win a prize,

So:

Winning odds = 1/400
Not winning odds = 399/400

Not winning odds after 60 clicks (1 day) as a Premium member = (399/400)^60 ~= 86%
.: Winning odds after 60 clicks (1 day) as a Premium member ~= 14%

Not winning odds after a week as a Premium member = [(399/400)^60]^7 ~= 35%
.: Winning odds after a week as a Premium member ~= 65%

Not winning odds after a month as a Premium member = [(399/400)^60]^30 ~= 1%
.: Winning odds after a month as a Premium member ~= 99%

keep clicking, because you will get your prize soon!
LOL :D

What you wrote is a perfect example of the Gambler's fallacy and it's completely wrong.

The odds to win will be always 1/400 and the probability to win is always 0.25% and never will be 14% or 65% or 99% as you wrote 8-)

Flipping a coin has always 50% probability to give you head or tails.
So, let's say that we flip a fair coin for heads or tails and we we get 4 heads in a row.
If the next result was head again it would give us five heads in a row.

Because the probability to get 5 heads in a row is only 3.125%, someone might believe that the next flip is less likely to be heads than to be tails. But this is completely false because 5 heads in a row and 4 heads and then a tail are equally likely and each one of them has the same 3.125% probability to happen.

To simplify it every time you click in clixgrid you have 399/400 or 99.75% to lose and only 1/400 or 0.25% to win and that's all ;)

Actually, you're both incorrect.

You can't place odds on a count that is different from day to day in addition
to your lack of knowledge as to how ClixSense has it set up exactly.

Most of the members are not advertisers... and their chances to win something in the grid is 0.25% which means almost a guaranty that you will not win 8-)

The point is not about winning in the clixgrid, which is what I stated.
The point is, viewing advertisers ads, having the opportunity to win in the clixgrid, and the point I stressed
is earning the free bonus in the checklist. If you do not click the ads in the clixgrid, then of course you would
not be eligible for the free bonus (all else being equal).

In regards to rules, yes, I think YOU should read them. It might do you some good, altho
some how, I seriously doubt it.

Proper Strategy to earn with Clixsense » Post #2

Thu Feb 27, 2014 11:57 in General Talk

There is no strategy.

Its very simplistic.

You can refer others if you want to by giving them your ref url and you earn a percentage
of their activity plus when they upgrade. There are comparison charts you can view.

You can also choose to upgrade your membership, thereby earning on upgrades thru 8 levels.
There is also charts displaying the potentials.

In addition, you do earn more on some of your activity as an upgraded member such as
higher percentage in the daily bonus checklist.

You can log in every day and thru out your day as your time allows to click PTC ads, see
if there are Tasks you can do, offers and surveys may be available some days as well as
video ads.

You can also try your luck each day in the clixgrid to win cash and also to aid in completing
the daily check list for free bonus earnings.

chefkang wrote: I never went premium for similar reasons because the tasks and offers for my country are almost null and even If I'm lucky to find 1-2 good ones every blue moon I can do them as a not upgraded member anyway. On top of that many of the tasks and offers I can see here offer better payments elsewhere.

The guaranteed extra ads for premium members cannot cover the cost of the membership and if you don't have active referrals, paying for a premium membership is like paying to click more ads.

The point of the clixgrid is NOT to complete the checklist bonus because clixgrid was there before the implementation of the checklist 8-)

In regards to what I was saying, absolutely that is the point of the clixgrid (checklist).

However, if you want to nic pic which you enjoy doing with me since you obviously
have nothing better to do, the real point of the clixgrid is to give quality low cost
advertising to the advertiser. Which I might add, may result in additional advertising
options being chosen.

I don't know as I've ever ate walleyes. Do they taste like catfish?

Looks like you have plenty to eat and perhaps freeze some. Don't let that feller peeping out the
door get your walleyes!

The point of the clixgrid is not so everyone wins every day. I am speaking in terms of
us making money. The point of the clixgrid is that we make free bonus money every
day IF we do the clixgrid daily....in that it counts towards the daily bonus money. This
isn't to say that you will always every day be able to make the bonus money but there
are many days that you can. This alone can add to a significant amount of extra
cash thru the year. It also makes a big difference being upgraded in this regards because
you get a higher percentage of bonus money.

However, there is really no point discussing it because everyone can plainly see how
much the higher percentages of earnings are by the comparison charts. It's your option
and you know whats best for you.

I don't really know but if you added one over there then it would be the same way I'd think.
You'd just go to where ever you was when you added it. I suspect it would be your CrowdFlower profile.

Remember since you are in the USA, your first cash out will be processed by check.
Checks are processed once a month.

I finally passed the payout mark today and I'm trying to decide if I should cash out or "let it ride". The reason for my debate is that it has taken me soooo long to get here. I have no referrals. (tried advertising, didn't work) So what I've earned thus far is from my own clicks.

I would like to get other's thoughts on this. Maybe there's something I've missed.

Thanks in advance. :)

Why don't you just go ahead and cash out since obviously you seldom do much here.

You're in the USA and you've been a member here since Sept of last year. There has
been a lot of videos you could have watched to earn, loads of offers you could have
completed, paid to call offers, lots of surveys, tasks, and more.....all without needing
referrals.

So my suggestion to you is, if you are going to take 6 months to make a cash out
amount of $10.00 which computes to approximately $1.65 per month, to go ahead
and cash out. I mean, we're all liable to be living on Mars before you reach a twenty.

What is Sticky Ads ? » Post #8

Thu Feb 13, 2014 18:58 in General Talk

Mostly what I don't get is the fact the sticky ads are the same worth when clicked as the
regular tenth of a cent ads. Only difference is they are at the top and we don't get ref
commissions on them. The thing is, the ads that are worth more, that advertisers pay
more for, are on the bottom......and I just totally do not understand that.
