Nice and quiet in here. I think I smell tulips and green grass and I can hear little fish jumping in the stream.

Any suggestions from U.S.A. members ? » Post #7

Well when it comes to internet service, you would need to check what is available in your area.
I couldn't even begin to help you with that and I don't think anyone else here can since they don't
know your home area.

I have DISH for TV viewing but NOT my internet service.

I live in a rural area but I am close to a county school. I have DSL through my local rural area
landline phone service.

No, I did not mention ESPN just like I didn't mention the thousands of channels accessible through

As I did state, you of course would need streaming from the internet in order to use the content
from the tv box's. The exception is the box you can get from walmart to receive the local networks.

I suggest simply checking in your local area to see what is available. It sounds like you don't
want to cut the cord with cable so you might find some other cable companies in your area.

It's what little boys do and when they grow up, they do it when they're too lame, too uncouth, too foul mouth, to get a woman.

No, his bad eye was removed less than two years ago.

I had a house cat 'Mr Blue' that lived for 17 years. I had a little black cat that went in heat,
busted out a screen window, mated with a russian blue, had 4 kittens, and the last born was
Mr Blue. He was just a big long haired solid gray cat. Really good cat. He came down with
cancer of the jaw, of all things. He was in pain and at his age, there really wasn't anything
to be done. They said that cats can learn to eat without their jaw, if I wanted to take him
through the surgery. But, he was 17 and so I chose to have him put down and that was one
of the hardest things I have ever had to do.

Well, they are family. So it is very tough when they go to the rainbow bridge.

Boogie was a stray so I am not exactly sure of his age. He showed up about ten years ago
with a sore foot and some cuts on him. I don't know if he was born without a tail or if someone
cut his tail off. Hate to think about it and never ask the vet. Had him 'fixed' right away and
they said back then that he was probably a year or two old. Seems they say that about every
stray I have taken to the vet......a year or two old.

Boogie for the most part, does not like to be bothered. All he wants to do is sleep, make biscuits,
eat, and take care of his litter box. He looks at Bo as to say 'stupid dog'. Bo will run circles around
him. I think Boogie might play a bit more with him if Bo wasn't so rambunctious.

Unfortunately, Boogie's other eye is going bad. I guess his laziness is a good thing.

Any suggestions from U.S.A. members ? » Post #2

It depends on what you like to watch.

Here is my suggestions:

1. Netflix Streaming : This is about $10 a month and you have access to older streaming movies, some new streaming movies, some old tv series, some tv series that stay only one or two seasons behind such as Walking Dead, Bates Motel, etc. You also have access to Netflix original movies and Netflix original series. There is also documentaries, etc.

2. Amazon Prime : Now they have a monthly option. However, paying by the year is the best way to go because it is cheaper in the long run, plus you don't have to be concerned with a monthly payment. Amazon has streaming of movies and tv shoes, etc. Amazon also has their own original Amazon movies/series. This cost is about $100 a year. You'll have to look see as I pay by the year and I think they have gone up a tad since my last payment. This is also good if you order products through Amazon because you get free shipping on Amazon prime products. However, if you don't do much shopping there and you need to choose one or the other Netflix or Amazon, choose Netflix.

3. Android Box with Kodi : If you like movies and getting the most recent movies, with a box that has Kodi, you can stream them for free. Also, Kodi has hundreds of channels. There are sports channels, fox, and most popular channels. These box's vary greatly in price. Do your research. Make sure you are reading TRUE REAL REVIEWS. I have 2 Kodi box's.....I call them Kodi box's but they are actually called Android box's. One I paid only $30 for and the other I paid about $50 for it. They are buggy at times but more than worth the cost. In one days watch you've made your money back, so to speak. There is no fees, other than just buying the box.

4. Smart TV or Roku Box: With a Roku box, you have access to add a lot of free channels but the free channels are one's that you probably have not heard of. With Roku, even if you don't have a Smart TV, you can watch Netflix, Amazon, and lots of others.....of course, you do still have to pay for Netflix, etc. When I first started with Roku, I think the box was about $29 and they had few channels. Now they have a lot more and probably over a hundred channels. You get free upgrades. Go to the Roku website, if you are not familiar with it.

5. You can get the Network Channels for free. I guess you probably know that. You'll need the box and you can buy them at Walmart as well as online. There are no fees, just need the box. With the box, you'll get ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and possibly other local stations in your nearby area....such as university channel.

I was at one time paying a lot for tv and the more I researched my options, I really cut back a lot
and I do plan to drop my DISH at some point. You can also optionally pay Netflix for dvd's but you'd
save money by having a KODI box.

I also have an APPLE Box and an RCA Box. I used them a long time ago but don't much at all any more.

So, there is really a wide variety of options and you can save a lot of money.

I actually use the following :

DISH - I cut way back and my monthly bill is now under $57 per month
Netflix - I now only do their streaming (I have did their dvd's in the past) $10 per month
Amazon - I pay yearly but probably averages out to about $10 per month
KODI - $0
Roku - $0 - I have Smart tv's so I don't use the Roku box often but there is a lot of free channels that can be added

So my suggestion to you if your credit is not up to par and you can't go with Amazon and
you can't go with Netflix but you have WIFI, buy a KODI box and buy a box at Walmart
that will allow you to still get your network channels. This way, you'll be out some pocket
money for the box's but you won't have a monthly payment at all.

Well there is a very cool website online that is recognized by the national geographic.

It cost money for the DNA kit. They send it to you, you swab your cheek and send it back.

You can then log in and you can see anyone else that is in your DNA string, so to speak.

The only problem with that right now is, not everyone in the world is a member. Some
day I suspect, if not that website, another, will have everyone in a DNA database so that
everyone can match up to their ancestors.

I think it gets very confusing after going back several generations because so many things
change. Take me for example. I am adopted. However I know who my parents are but
IF someone was to look up my birth certificate, the original is locked, even to me, and all
they would get is my grandparents names as my parents. So there is the adoption factor.
Also, people get married and divorced and remarried, and some marry and divorce multiple top that off, they have children often from more than one marriage. People tend
to follow the paternal side since that is the name that carries onward but just as much is to
be taken into the history on the maternal side.

I agree, any way you look at it, we are all related.

Hello cousins!

To stop smoking you need to take the patch and you need to stay away from people that smoke.

The best way to quit, is truly to just do it, cold turkey but with the help of the patch.

Most people won't quit when they try and reduce their intake. For example I remember many
times in the past telling myself, I will only smoke outside, I will not smoke when driving, I will
not smoke while eating......I really loved to smoke while I ate.

I was only fooling myself. So don't fool yourself. Realize what an awful death lung cancer is.
I am telling you, it is a horrible way to die.

be wishing you had that permanent vacation.

Maybe you could do some volunteer work.

Ya, we've got to eradicate the puppy mills. It is extremely important NOT to buy from breeders
and NOT to buy from pet shops and NOT to buy from pet regards to purchasing animals...
don't do it!

Also, be very careful about purchasing an animal online!

Go to your local animal shelters.

My little dog is a Maltese and he did come by way of a breeder but I did not purchase from a
breeder. I found two ads online by the same woman, that had a male maltese for sale that was
about six months old. It just so happen, the woman lives in my area only about 15 miles away
from me. So I called and spoke to her. She told me all about Bo and she wanted $450 dollars
for him. I set up time and went to her house. I can hear Bo barking as I knocked on the door.

The woman had bought Bo from a breeder and paid $450 for him. Bo was 6 months old and weighed
4.5 pounds. I knew I wanted him immediately. She said she bought Bo and really thought Bo
was sweet but they did not have time for him. She accepted $400 and I had her husband make
me a receipt (VERY IMPORTANT-GET A RECEIPT). I had all the information and checked out every
thing for facts BEFORE I went to buy him.

Bo did not seem the least bit disappointed, sad, or anything when I swooped him up. He was and
is a very happy dog. He is now three years old and weighs just under 7 pounds. He is so much
fun and keeps me smiling every day.

Clixsense should stop changing sponsors » Post #9

Wed Nov 30, 2016 11:15 in General Talk

Well you know, ClixSense can be a little time consuming IF you are really interested in
making as much money here as you can. A member could easily spend the entire day
and night here, viewing ads, surveys, tasks, etc. The good part about it is, if you do
need some extra money, it is here if you are willing to work for it.

But yeah, I think a big part of it is, people have work and families offline to attend to.
You know, if you work 8 or more hours a day, have family, household to care for, you
don't really have much time to do much online other than send emails to your mom
or some such as that.

I truly believe that is the largest issue people have, time.

Sure there are lazy people but I don't think that is it. When you work a regular offline
job, you don't have much time for stuff online. Also, if you are rather young and work
offline, your weekends or days off are probably spent going to parties, offline social,
taking the kids to the pool, ballgames, etc, etc, etc.

The people that do well in this industry is usually the desperate people. I mean that in
a good way. They have a certain 'desperation' aspect to their personality. That might
be they are desperate to make money because they are out of a job offline. It could be
they are desperate to make money online because they don't want to work offline. It
could be they are college kids that are desperate for spending money.

That is why I say when you are promoting to people out there, you really need to focus
your targeting to what people really want, not just anyone and everyone that comes along.
Otherwise, people just come along and join and often don't do anything or check it out
enough to click on a few ads for a day or two.

So forget the so called 'numbers game' because that is bull. You have to think about
YOU and why YOU work this site. Then relate that information to like minded people
by targeting those that are like you.
