What a "Wonderful Gesture!" » Post #13

Sat Dec 31, 2016 16:40 in General Talk

I don't think it's a question in regards to the lady not caring about humans or children.

I do believe that is why many people do not give in places that they could, ridicule. So
they just don't give at all.

You see in this world today, there is always going to be people that ridicule other people even
when those other people do good.

I've thought about leaving some property I have to the local animal shelter in my area.

You see in my mind, it is important to help society, community, and our planet. Without
these things, what are we? There WERE animals on this planet that might have held
cures for cancer and other disease but those creatures are gone.

Animals are a LARGE part of our planet. Truth be known, they were here before humans.

Domestic animals such as dogs and cats, SAVE LIVES. There are war dogs, dogs that have
been trained to give their own life for humans by going in to places where bombs and/or
other dangerous things await. Dogs that have been trained to not only point out danger
but to save people in disasters such as earthquakes. There is too many ways for me to
count in which animals have saved human life. Animals work in rehab services every day
to help people with emotional and even physical health issues....everything from nursing
home patients to veterans to autistic children, etc. Millions of horses have died serving
humans. To top it off, think of the trillions of animals that have been eaten to either satisfy
someone's desire for meat or to save someone from starvation AND that includes cats
and dogs.

I really hate when someone says someone else is selfish because they did not give to
feed a child. It is lame. Because when we save animals, we are saving children and
humans and future generations.

Oh come on.

Give a man a fish. What happens? He eats it and is not hungry that day.

So what ya gonna do? You gonna keep giving him a fish every day?

The solution is to teach him how to fish. cannot save the world. However, if everyone that could so something, would do something,
everyone would be in a much better position. That is much better position not just physically but
mentally too.

One million dollars is not very much money. I take my hat off to the woman that left her estate to
the animal shelter, most probably in her area....perhaps even one she volunteered or worked at over
the years. Whatever the case may be, she reached out and helped life.

This is one area people do not have to worry about.

The solution is simple:

-Stop having children
-Stop eating everything that moves

The problem with stuff is the more stuff you have the more that stuff takes up space AND
the more stuff you have the more dust you have AND the more dust you have the more
dusting you must do AND when you have more stuff more things go wrong with the stuff
AND that means you have more trash AND less money.

All for what?

favourite pastimes and hobbies » Post #2

Wed Dec 28, 2016 12:37 in General Talk

There's a variety of things I like to do around the house that might be called 'hobbies'.

Coloring: Yeah, I like to color in coloring books. I am trying not to purchase any more coloring books for awhile because I have a lot that still need colored. I use gel pens and artist coloring pencils, mainly. I do use crayons some times too.

Jigsaw Puzzles: Mainly I do the brand 'Buffalo Games' 1000+ pieces. I have not worked on any in awhile. I seem to go through stages and do several and then not do any for several months.

Knitting and Crochet: I have a lot of yarn. One day a few years ago, I said to self 'self, make thousands of granny squares, put them in a box, and then sew them together to make 3 large throws'. I had it in my head to do ONE granny square a day. I'd make a big throw for each one of my children. Guess how many are in the box? Ok I will tell you......ONE.

In the warmer weather months I work outside a lot. There's always work to do here. Shrubs to trim and shrubs to trim and shrubs to trim....lots of shrubs to trim. Lots of mowing to do. Gardening and Veggie garden. I guess much of that would rank more as a 'chore' than a hobby.

Scrapbooking: It did take me awhile but I made 3 for my kids a few years ago for Christmas. I am presently working on making a few more.....

Family History: The 3 scrapbooks I am working on now, I am locating family photos offline and online, digging up some family history. Printing out photos and content. Placing those in sets of 3 for family history scrapbooks.

Gaming: Yeah, I have played the little gameboy games when it first came out and then over the years bought a few of the DS consoles. This Christmas I bought the New DS 3 XL and have played it very little since receiving it but like my other hobbies, I tend to go through periods of time in which I will do something a lot, then move on to do something else for awhile. I bought an Xbox One S and presently been playing with it.

Do you believe in ads offering $100.00 every day? » Post #8

Wed Dec 28, 2016 05:39 in General Talk

If you think about it, it is not really that much. It's $3,000 per month.
That's not to say the ads are relaying real information. It's just to say that 3 grand a month
is obtainable. In regards to earning from PTC and GPT overall, I would say it is certainly
possible primarily for those people that have large numbers of active referrals.

Is Lee Kuan Yew any relation to Jet Li.

In regards to where human's originated from, that is of course, debatable.
Since we can't discuss religion due to forum rule 13, I won't dare mention
that I believe we originated by the hand of God or that we did such stupid
stuff that the Tower of Babel was the frame for the language barrier. Nor
would I dare mention that heaven is just a breath away and hell even closer.
I cannot nor will I discuss the original of Adam and Eve. I must maintain
forum rules and the sincerest of all camaraderie within the moderator realm.

No, I say. I dare say, NO. I shall go hence forth over hill and dale of forums
land and slay my enemies with thine sword of tongue and maintain the dearest
of symbolism without the harshness of the cold rules that I once so desired to

Now I must leave and I hang my head low, should I dare ever break forum rule 13.

I could tell you more about Mary and Ruth.

Notice their names? Their parents named them from the Bible.

Mary was very 'mathematically' inclined, you could say. So much so that neither Ruth or herself
had breasts. They did wear their bra's. First thing every morning, into the bathroom they went,
put their bra's on and dress, brushed their teeth, etc. Off to their tiny kitchen. Same thing every
morning. Mary would tell me how to cook the oats. Measure the water, turn the heat on high,
boil the water, measure the oats, pour oats into pot, stir fast faster real fast, take oats off stove,
give to Ruth. Every morning Ruth refused to eat the oats. 'I dun wanna eat em and I am not
gunna eat em' Ruth would say and she was right, she never ate them but I still cooked them...
every morning. Mary would eat one egg and one slice of bacon and every morning, Ruth would
steal Mary's bacon. Of course, Mary let her succeed at the bacon theft, after Mary had ate half of it.

I lost track. Mary and Ruth did not have breasts because Mary had a malignant lump in one breast.
Since Mary was a math teacher, she knew that one breast removed left three breasts. Due to her
wisdom, no one had to tell her, three more breast would stay in jeopardy. She had them all removed.
Her second breast and both Ruth breasts. Four less things to worry about.

Do you believe in Santa Claus? » Post #47

Well give it a break while you are ahead.

It's a silly topic about believing in Santa Claus and it WAS fun and informative, if I do say so myself.

So stop being a sour puss or you'll get coal for Christmas next year.

If one can Believe in God why not in Santa ?

what's next centaurs, mermaids, ghouls, werewolves or someone from the comics like wonder woman, superman, antman

So you are saying that someone that has been deemed a Saint is religious.

Does that mean Sir Elton John is religious because he was knighted by the Queen.

Actually, I don't have the time to argue with you over such a petty thing as a small topic on a forum.
What I will suggest to you is, if you don't like the topics about santa, mermaids, comics, etc, to ignore

I don't care if you call me biased. Believe whatever you want. You're not santa so I don't care.

Maybe you could find a game to play or something else to do.

The age of loneliness is killing us » Post #33

Mon Dec 26, 2016 22:54 in General Talk

It's like the old man that bitched at his wife every day about everything.

His drawers were not clean enough
His food was not done enough
His bed not soft enough

One day she died.

That's about as lonely as it gets in my opinion. Now he has to bitch at himself
every day and to top it off, he has to wash his drawers himself, cook his food
himself, make his bed himself.

That's why old people get lonely after the spouse dies. It's because the other
one has no one to bitch at any more.
