Oh alright already. Gag me with a spoon or something. Spin me around 100 times until I get
dizzy and lose my dinner. Make me wear shoes one size too small. Put hair curlers in my hair
and make me go to the amusement park. Force me to wear an underwire bra. Give me a
wedgie. Make me ride the roller coaster that has unfinished tracks. Tie me to a chair, put
toothpicks under my eyelids, and force me to watch 'Clockwork Orange'.

Why? Why is this world so cruel? All I did was try to help.

Go ahead, make me shave my legs with a veggie peeler.

About Viewing Ads - Refresher Course for Newbies » Post #1

Mon Sep 12, 2016 14:34 in General Talk

View PTC Ads 61 clicks $0.372

Since server change time last night, I have viewed 61 ads and made $.37 cents.
At this moment, I have 6.5 (that is six and a half hours) until server change.

The number of ads implemented in ClixSense is never all at one time. At server
change, they normally place the required amount they state you will receive daily.

To receive more ads, you have to keep looking for them. Advertisers come along
at various times through the day and purchase ads. So you might look one minute
and there is nothing and you look another minute and there is several.

Do not go by just what you see in the little 0 at the 'View Ads' tab. Go ahead and
click that View Ads tab anyway. Browse around for a minute and you might see that
several ads have them appeared for you to view.

View ALL ads you see. Do NOT skip little ads. If you skip the little bitty ads, you miss
out on the big ads. In addition, all the little bitty ads add up to more money in more
ways than one. For example, you'll earn the little amount but you'll also earn more
in the daily checklist bonus.

Advertisers can target their ads, known as geo-targeting. You never know if you will
get only a few ads or a lot of ads to view. If you have the time, keep ClixSense open
in a window, and consistently look for more ads while you are online.

Darn, after all these years studying English it turns out I don't know sh*t just because I don't happen to live in the US!

By the way, I've got a doubt regarding these sentences:

valerie wrote:I use to make $20 but I don't any more
My add-on use to work but it doesn't any more
I use to live in India but I don't any more

Shouldn't all those "use" actually be "used"? Or is it just another made in the USA language thing?

No, that wouldn't make sense. It was an example, by the way.

If you want proper English it would be :

Previously I made $20, I don't any more.

The word 'use' in the way I 'used' it in my example, is poor English, more of a lazy slang.

I think it's just about respect and that is all.

Of course bodies of land were taken, either by peace or by war. That is no reason not to have
respect for your country.

People seem to like drop down menu's for everything. I don't agree with that. That causes
confusion and too much thought. Too much thought makes my head hurt.

Who are people? Does it really matter what color they are? There's some old classic movies....
well, they are old classic movies now......but I think my watching those movies taught me more
than a book on the subject or racism, prejudice, bias, etc. The movies are:

Hell in The Pacific - came out in 1968
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner - 1967

Those two movies showed me that respect and love is not bias, does not care about color,
has no place for prejudice, and does not welcome racism. They helped me to understand
about life, love, war, and how even the most hated people against each other, can become
the most loved of each other.

People are never going to learn, I fear. Not everyone knows what respect is and the worse
part is not having self respect. If you don't have self respect, you don't have anything.

I think people should respect there country if their country is respectful of humanity.

I have two legs, two arms, two eyes, and fortunately they all work. I was born on planet
earth. That is all. That is all there is.

Yep, my point exactly BouldRake.

They need to have required classes that teach kids important life skills:

-How to handle their money, save for retirement, mortgages, vehicle payments, etc

-How to be prepared for emergencies, how to stay alive in the wild, how to protect oneself from an invasion, etc

Most kids don't go to college. In fact, many drop out before they go very far in high school.

Those kids can't tell you anything now or years later about geometry. It's doubtful they can
relay much about history. The only think they can tell you about Greek mythology is there
was a woman with snakes on her head.

So why don't schools also focus on helping kids with the life skills they really need to survive
in this world.....and if they gave them more interesting classes, maybe they would stick around
longer in school.

I don't think they need donations.

Thanks for offering, however.

You want to get things in order long before retirement age. I do wish I had given more
attention when I was young BUT with that said, they didn't and maybe still don't, teach
it in school.

Oh after you get in college, if you go to college, you can take Economics 101 that takes
a person with an IQ of 5000 to understand.

What I am saying is, our schools and our parents/caregivers should begin teaching us
right away at an early age, the importance and the structure for what and why we need
to secure our retirement.

I hope I am not being misunderstood. I know I can be odd.
All my life, I've been told I have a dry sense of humor.

To be clear, I am not saying members shouldn't have fun here or
converse about topics in general. That is why the general sub
forum is here.

What I am saying, it is that ClixSense is foremost an advertising
program in which members can make extra money and that should
be the main focus.

If you think about it, there is often a lot of time on topics that
reflects away from what a member really could be doing to help
themselves make more money.

I call it 'misplaced focus'.

A real example is one day many years ago, long before CS even
existed, I was spending much of my time one day on a forum. I
took a break and used a safelist to promote a program I was an
affiliate of. Within the hour after sending my ad, I had made about
$250.00. I will never forget that but I do forget that marketers name...
he was killed some years later in a race car at a race track. I recall
receiving checks in the mail every so often when I made sales. Eh
now I am going to research and find out what his name was. Owned
a popular program name Marketing something or other.

So what i am saying is, if I had continued to sit at the forum that
day, I wouldn't have made the $250.

My point is, it's fine to have some fun. All work and no play makes
something. If you sweat the small stuff and mis place focus, you
lose possibilities that may become realities. That is what I am saying.

I like the British language and the French language the best, me thinks.

I guess it has something to do with my childhood.
