There's actually one kind of 'job' like that in my country -- in some slums, the person just has to 'sleep' in a coffin, while his/her 'companions' would carry on the act of his/her recent passing -- then they pass a few alms boxes and envelopes to solicit some donations from passer-bys and locals

Nice 'racket' for a lazy one ;)

THAT is almost hilarious! :o

There's also another racket here that involves paying people to cry at your funeral ( at times favored for Chinese families, they pay some people to act as if they were family members, and cry -- often loudly -- for the one who had passed away :( )

Paid to Cry ( PTC )

Yes, I have heard of that. I forget what they are called. WAILERS I think. They wail .....

Well, IF it was an April Fools Joke, I am mighty sure the toothless guy isn't happy
about it but he might be feeling better after his lawyers get done with the dentist.

Man gets BIG surprise - ALWAYS Confirm » Post #1

So this man goes to the dentist to have 4 teeth removed. His wife waits in the waiting room.
After a long time, the wife asks about her husband, what is taking so long.

Turns out, they removed ALL of the man's teeth.....and he coded twice on the way to the hospital.
He came very close to death.

This is true and just recently happen a couple of days ago.

I just wanted to point out to you, that YOU own your body so make sure when ever you go to the
dentist, doctor, etc. that you make it very plain and in their face what you are having done that day.
If you are having a tooth pulled, tell the doctor.....you do see you are pulling only this one tooth?
CONFIRM CONFIRM CONFIRM

It seems there are more and more horror stories about wrong body parts being removed and also
from the wrong patient. YIKES!

Gingivitis is what I first was "diagnosed" with in my 20s, but back then, they didn't do or tell you what to do to stop it; at least not where I live. You were doomed to lose your teeth from it. I was in my 40s when I stupidly listened to the dentist. Funny, but it was less than a year after he pulled all my teeth and I spent all that money on dentures that he retired. He wasn't that old either! I still say i helped his retirement fund big time!!!! :x

Things have sure advanced a lot over the years. I think gingivitis can be hereditary.

I remember when I was a kid in school, we were taught to brush our teeth side ways.
Years later they said don't brush your teeth sideways, brush up and down. Plus, there
was nothing about flossing back then. Now its floss floss floss.

I viewed 500 ads today and that panned out to $2.50.

It does take a long time to view a lot of ads. It works very well on an IPad and so
some of the time, I simply sit in my recliner, listen to the news/tv and view the ads
at the same time.

Thats about what it is going to pan out to..... 100 ads = .50 cents and so on.

Too late. You missed it. It got edited » Post #2

Well lets see.....

The 60 second ad is the extended ad and worth a 2 cents
The 30 second ad is the standard ad and that's worth 1 cent
The 15 second ad I think is referred to as the regular ad and that is worth half a cent
The 5 second ad is the sticky ad and that is worth a fraction $0.001
The 5 second ad is the mini ad and that is worth a fraction $0.005
The 3 second ad is the micro ad and that is worth a fraction $0.0010

Anyway, don't pay any attention to me, you probably have it correct. :D

In regards to the 1/4 cent, I am probably thinking in terms of the 15 second regular ads.....
those are worth 1/2 cent.....because 15 seconds is a quarter of 60 seconds.

Maybe kids should get up off their butts and away from the videos and get out
there and help their parents work. Ya ever think of that, David?

American people have very strong family values and if one thing is obvious in
this country, that still is.

In days not so long ago, kids actually worked to help their parents. My ex
husband, he got up at 4am to feed. He fed horses, cows, etc. He also would
drive up to the tobacco barn to check on the smoking and put more sawdust
on the fire. He helped his father on the farm before school and after school.
He even put out his own tobacco and put the money into a savings for college.
He was one of ten children and every one of those children worked and they
worked with a smile on their face. The boys worked on the farm and the girls
worked on the farm too!

I make minimum payout in 2/3 days, could make minimum payout in one day, if I done surveys.

$0.05 ads? Really? I didn't know CS offered such ads :geek: ... how long does it take to watch every one? 2, 3 min?

Maybe you meant $0.005 ads, didn't you?

$0.005 x 200 = $1
$0.05 x 200 = $10

But you're right, for some reason I was thinking you were watching more $0.001 ads than $0.005...

Then you should hit the minimun in about 3 days, which is indeed happening! wow! doubly amazing!

Congrats!

Ya, he meant the 15 second ads. There are 1/4 cent ads, 1/2 cent ads, 1 cent ads, 2 cent ads.....
In addition, I think those little teeny 3 second ads are 1/10th of a cent and the little sticky 5 second ads are....errrr.....
maybe the 5 second ads are 1/10th a cent and the 3 second are more like 1/20th of a cent......anyway, you can view the various ads and their payouts in the FAQ.

I think the dollar amount is moving, however.

My eyeballs would fall out if I clicked a thousand clicks.

papamike51 wrote: Is netflix and Amazon Prime worth the cost? I was also wondering about Hulu+. Thing I worry about is that I enjoy some of the programming on our local channels.

It depends on what you like to watch, Mike.

Netflix is the best. I heard that is going up a dollar or two. In regards to Netflix I have the
streaming ($7.99 per month) and one dvd out at a time blue ray ($9.99 per month). To me
it is worth it. If you like TV series shows, such as 'Walking Dead', 'Longmire', 'Justified', etc
Netflix has these series shows but stay one series behind. To me, it doesn't make any difference
if the program is a series behind, I still get to see it and if I want. Netflix streaming also has
a good variety of documentaries. Netflix has many original series.....that is programs that
they own and no one else has....most of them are not very good, I don't think but there are
several that I really like 'Orange is the New Black' as an example. Most of their movies on
streaming are lowly rated movies....like 1 to 3 star movies.....however, they do put some
pretty good movies on streaming just not every day. If you like the old classic movies and
shows....Netflix streaming has a good deal of them.....I am presently watching AndyGriffin
and then I am going to watch TwilightZone and I completed watching several other old
goodies such as the Munsters, some time back. I like watching those old series from episode
one and in order. If you like the new movies that come out, you really do save money by
having at least the 1 dvd out at a time. I just watched 'Bridge of Spies' and if I had paid for
it on pay per view, I'd paid at least $5.99 for that one movie. I average receiving 2 to 3
dvd's per week. I always return them the very next day so I can get another quickly.
They have tons of good movies and shows on dvd.

Amazon.....not so much. What I like mostly about Amazon is for starters, it is only $99 per
year and it's paid at one time for the year. That just seems easier to pay it by the year than
to bother with seeing it on your credit card every month. So $99 a year pans out to $8.25
per month. They don't have dvd service. They are getting better at creating some originals
that they own but thus far, I can't say they are great but you might think so. I do find some
movies and shows on there often that I don't find on Netflix streaming. Another thing of course
is that with Amazon Prime you get free 2 day shipping on anything and everything you order
that is a prime item and most stuff is. You can of course still get free shipping IF your order
totals at least $49.00. That kind of stinks since there are times you might want to order
something that is only $20.00. For example, the other day I ordered a $17.00 bag of dog
food and it was shipped free and I received it in 2 days. There's more...... Amazon Prime
now also offers free cloud storage and unlimited at that! You can upload all your photos
to the cloud and that way you know they are always safe from your computer crashes, etc.
The cloud storage alone could easily cost $5 or more a month. If you like to read you get
some free reading every month and you are aware of specials before the entire customers
are. They do offer a 30 day free trial so that is nice in that you can try it out first.

DISH....with dish, I usually have their America's 200 pack. I recently canceled it because
altho there was channels I still like to watch it just isn't worth it since most the channels,
I didn't watch. Even some of the channels I liked to watch, I seldom watched them. With
the package I have now, I cut my bill in half and I still get all the network channels including
fox, fox news, cnn, hln, weather channel, ID, diy, and a lot more.

I have a few Smart tv's. I also have Roku and Apple tv box's. Out of all that, the best is
Roku. They have tons of channels, tons of free channels, altho many of the free channels
have commercials.

Oh and in case you did not know, you can always get your local channels, even if you cut
your cable. Did you not know that?

Let Women Rule The World » Post #5

Naw, just another imaginary way of thinking.

In other words, there are women just as ruthless and conniving as men.

There are very kind and caring men and same goes for women BUT the
opposite is true too.

In some states it might make sense but here is the problem and it has always been
the problem....

When the minimum wage rises, employees look for ways to cut back on employment.
Even owners of small businesses often let some of their workers go and elect to do
the work themselves or even bring in more of their family members to help out.

To make matters even worse, many things if not everything rises in cost. The
small business guy that sells a horseshoe for $5 now must sell it for $8. A hamburger
joint that sells a burger for $2.50 now must sell it for $4.00.

That's just one very small real example of what happens.

Raising the minimum wage is not how you put more money in peoples pockets.
That's like when I was a kid and I'd take the empty RC soda bottles to the store
and get $0.02 per bottle.....then I would buy $0.01 candy......and I'd buy $0.05
candy bars. Then one day the minimum wage increased and I took my RC empty
bottles to the store and I still received the $0.02 per bottle but there wasn't any
1 cent candy.....it had all increased to 3 cent and the 5 cent candy bars went up...
doubled in price from a nickel to ten cents.

That's the way slick government often works......lets fool the people.....lets give
em what they think they want.....ha ha ha ha ha!

You're not suppose to believe in such shenanigans.

The bible states that no one will be able to predict the end of time....no
one can predict Christ return.

You'll know when the end is here and it won't be some money grabbing
idiot to feed you a load of bologna.
