Today Must Be SandBox Day » Post #13

Wed Jun 15, 2016 02:00 in General Talk

I'm just sick of members crying over BS topics and acting like gutless children
that don't know when they're being played by big wigs trying to make a buck
off the backs of paranoid schizophrenics and in a screwed up political world in
which the powers that be have a way of dribbling saliva down on unknowing
unintelligible beings that are unaware of their real surroundings and live in a
make believe world that would be better focused as a fly on the computer
screen or an avatar to nowheresville.

I don't play in the sandbox. The sand makes my itch crawl.

What do you usually wear in clothes? » Post #1

Mon Jun 13, 2016 01:23 in General Talk

Around the house I usually wear a nightgown or pajama's and a robe. Since I live in the country
in a rural area and only one neighbor some distance from my house, I go outside all the time in
my robe.

Other than that, normally I wear jeans and casual shirt.

When I was younger, someone told me I had a 'burnt brown' color hair and that seemed
to stick. People would describe my hair as a medium brown with a reddit tint like a burnt
brown. I most always had long very healthy looking hair. My hair has always been straight
as a stick.

Now my hair is thin and greying but it looks kind of cool, I think. It almost looks like I
went to a salon and had my hair frosted.

I cut my hair myself and rarely go to a salon.

What does your hair look like?

What's your favorite drink? » Post #1

What's your favorite drink and what do you drink most daily?

I'd probably have to say sweet ice tea. I drink it almost every day. I drink coffee a lot in
the winter but usually don't drink too much coffee in the summer except for mornings.

Do you drink smoothies?

I'd drink smoothies if I had simple recipes.

What's Your Favorite Ice Cream » Post #22

Do you ever eat frozen pie, frozen?

I usually buy the 'Edwards' brand frozen pies. I will take it out of the freezer and
slice a piece, put the pie back in the freezer and eat my slice of pie frozen.

So the other day I saw this BIG box at the store and it said Marie Collandar's
Coconut Pie. I thought geewizy that is a big box and I never ate ole Marie's
pies before so me will get that.

I want you to know that last night I decided to get that pie out of the freezer
and slice a big piece. I take the pie out of the big box and of course, it was
big primarily due to the meringue on top. Anyway, I go to slice that pie and
it won't cut. I am like trying to cut it, jabbing at it, licking the meringue off
the top. Finally I was able to dig some chunks out of it and put on my saucer.
So I go sit down to watch tv and I am eating coconut ice. I sit the saucer
down and wait a bit for it to thaw out, nope.......more coconut ice.

Then I read the directions and it says it has to thaw out over night.

No more Marie's pies for me. Back to Edwards.

Well have you ever given thought to stuff that may be around us that we can't see?
I think about that some times.

For example, my little dog can hear stuff I can't hear.

So why do we think that what we see is all to be seen?

We might be surrounded by people all the time and not even know it.

My grandfather, being a minister, use to say that the spirit when we die
has to go some where. It wouldn't go to heaven and it wouldn't go to hell.
It wouldn't go til the end of time so where does the spirit go?

So my take on it is, there is a possibility that 'sprits' walk amongst us.
That some spirits are so very evil that may have strong enough ties with
the devil, to create some bit of havoc amongst the place they once lived
or the people they once knew. Same thought vice versa that we might
be surrounded by family spirits and spirits of friends and maybe just maybe
there are those times that they can provoke goodness and even what we
deem miracles.

While you are sitting there are you computer, your great great great grandmother
might be standing there beside you and thinking.....'this boy is nuts'!

What's Your Favorite Ice Cream » Post #15

Thu Jun 09, 2016 01:42 in General Talk

I don't eat real meat but I do eat eggs, milk, ice cream.

I'd have to say vanilla ice cream is my favorite. I buy the large containers of vanilla
ice cream and I like that I can change the flavor with syrups, fruits, nuts, etc.

My Little Red Wagon » Post #11

I always get my grand children their first radio flyer wagon.

However, they are not anything like they were back in the 50's/60's.

If you have an old one made before the 70's, I wouldn't sell it.

So how's your garden growing?

Isn't that a child's rhyme?

I have a small garden but I have tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, sweet corn, watermelon,
cantaloupe, green beans, butter squash, zucchini. I think that is it.
