Crazy Recipes » Post #1

Do you ever get sick to your stomach when you see some of the recipes online?
I do.

I guess I am old fashion because I like simple wholesome foods. Give me a fresh garden salad
with extra cucumbers and tomatoes, and I am in heaven. Mashed real potatoes, red beets,
overly cooked green beans, fresh corn on the cob, fried corn, potato salad, macaroni salad,
cole slaw, vinegar slaw, buttery baked fish, fried breaded fish, shrimp, tuna salad, fruit,
fruit salad, jello, ice cream, home made cake, home made corn bread, home made biscuits, ....

NOT oven baked bacon with chocolate poured over it. That is so insane! I don't know which I
feel more sorry for, the bacon or the chocolate.

There's a lot of really nasty recipes online. At least to me, they look awful.

That is a little strange. I suspect they would ask you some questions over the phone and
also the phone would be a USA number in your local area where you stated you are.

I don't know. It is all crazy today, all the hoops one has to jump through. The flip side is
all the thievery and con jobs going on out there. The internet is still far from a safe place
and I guess the whole world is a have to carry a big stick.

As far as I know, there is presently no issue with Payza transfers. That is why Payza is now
an option again. So you should be able to transfer your funds to your bank account just
like admin can transfer funds from his bank account to Payza.

Favorite Brand of Chocolate? » Post #36

The most US-"chocolate" hasnt even real cocoa inside. Its like a steak without meat, or orange juice without oranges.

So I like Lindt, the better one. :D

The USA does not manufacture cocoa. Our cocoa comes from other countries such as
Nigeria and West Africa and I think they are focusing some on Mexico.

Favorite Brand of Chocolate? » Post #32

I'm not too fond of white chocolate. I prefer the dark chocolate.

Hershey's does make a 'cookies n cream' candy bar that is rather famous. It is white chocolate
with little specs of cookie in it.

Nestle's also makes a white chocolate candy bar called 'Alpine White' and I think they also have
one that is the Alpine White with Almonds.

It's difficult for me to choose a favorite brand of chocolate but I guess I would have to choose
'Queen Anne's'. I grew up in Chicago land and in a suburb within Indiana there was a Queen Anne's
candy factory. My friends and I would walk the railroad tracks towards Gary, Indiana for tacos at
a good taco place there. On the way, we would pass Queen Anne's. The aroma was delicious
coming out of the factory ovens. We would knock on the side door. That is all we had to do.
Someone with a hair net and dressed all in white with chocolate all over them, would open the door,
look down at us and smile and shut the door. Within just moments, the door would open and we
would get a googy warm white bag with chocolate all over it. Inside was pieces and malformed
shapes of chocolate that was to be trashed. Mostly, it was 'Turtles'. Oeeeeiiiieee Gooiiieeee
caramel chocolate pecan candy. Oh my it was so good. Not many knew about the side door but
we did and we sure took advantage of it every time we walked out that way.

I read from my old friends that in 2012, that Queen Anne factory was demolished. :(

Queen Anne's candy in the USA is mainly famous for their 'Cherry Cordials'.

I was reading a UK topic about PayZa and someone said they use an exchanger.

Just saying that maybe there is a way to transfer your funds out to something
else and then transfer to your bank from that something else.

I don't bother with all that. As long as I can get a check, I just use the check

I keep many sewing items in jars too. I have a large jar full of various colors of spools of thread.
I can see through the jar since it is clear glass and makes it easy for me to choose the color I need
but also keeps the thread dust free. I have a couple of smaller jars with bobbins, buttons, etc.

The large plastic containers of peanuts, such as great value peanuts that come in a 2 pound plastic
container....I save those some times. The label are on there pretty good so I don't bother to pull
the label off. I wash and dry and then place crayons in them. I put crazy stickers all over the label
that I get free in the mail at times. They are really handy plastic containers because they are square
and have a wide round opening and a screw lid. I used one not long ago for paint. Instead of dragging
the giant bucket of paint in the house. I poured a little white paint in one. The opening is large enough
for a paint brush. I had an area in the hall that needed painted.

I guess jars are an item you could say I recycle the most. I use them in the shop to hold screws, nails,
and junk.

I buy sanding blocks at walmart. They are about the size of a sponge. Very handy for sanding furniture,
walls, etc. Some times they get dull but still usable and no need to throw away. So you know those big
square plastic containers of ice cream at walmart.....I buy those. When the ice cream is empty, I never
throw those buckets aways. The square buckets, two of them I have sanding blocks in. Another one I
have used lysol dish sponges. Instead of throwing the dish sponge away, I let them air out and dry and
then put them in the bucket. That way when I have something to wash outside, car wheels or lawn mower,
etc, I use those old dish sponges. I also use the plastic ice cream buckets for water in the summer months
for the outside animals.

Long ago before there was an internet, there was IBM Machines. : :)

My grandmother worked at NIPSCO which was and maybe still is, a major gas company in Northern Indiana.
She was a clean up woman. After everyone left after 5pm, my grandmother and the other clean up workers
began their night cleaning in the building. Mopping floors, emptying trash cans, dusting, etc.

Every now and then, my grandmother would bring home a big box. The box was full of tossed out IBM cards.
They were allowed to take them but why would anyone want them? They were cards that had already been
run thru the IBM machines.

The cards were various colors. Orange, Green, Yellow, Blue, White, Off White. I don't know how many would
be in the box's that she brought home. Maybe a thousand or maybe 5,000. It was a lot. They were about
8 to 10 inches longer and maybe about 4 inches wide.

The cards had tiny little squares out of them. That is because they were run through the IBM machines and
I guess those little squares had something to do with inputting account holders information.

So in the basement they went, box after box of IBM cards that had been run through the machines and of no
known purpose but trash. We had several large closets in the basement and one was almost full of those IBM

Retirement came and to the south we moved. My grandfather bought a church.

One Christmas my grandmother opened several of those IBM card box's. She had glue and glitter. Lot's
of various colors of glitter and stapler and staples. She folded one end of the cards and stapled. she did
that with hundreds. She then stapled them together at the other ends and made large amounts and smaller
amounts. She then stapled them together. She them took the glue and spread it on all those ends and took
glitter and put all over the ends. The finished product was..... Christmas Wreaths. In the middle she took
pine cones that had fallen off our pine cone trees and put some of those in the middle for direction. She
also took sticks and made crosses for the middle. We took those to the church and placed them in the
windows and in front of lighted electric candles. The light would shine through all those tiny square holes
and the glitter would glisten and everyone was so amazed by them.....and I was too.

Everyone wanted them. So I helped take the box's of IBM cards to the church and everyone that wanted
could come to the activity class and help make them. Many went in to the church bazaar and every one
was sold. The money went towards new church pews.

I was just a kid and it was probably one of the first times I realized my grandmother was smarter than me.

I just want to add one little thing here.

You folks do NOT see what moderators see. You don't see all the childish comments, the ones
that are not approved, the one's that are deleted, the ones that are edited quickly. You don't
read all the times moderators and even admins are told to go to hell, to go F theirselves, and
more. You don't even get to see all the revolting avatars.

Some people are simply trouble makers. They are either children pretending to be adults
thinking they are saying something big and smart.

There is no one here that is perfect. We all make mistakes and we may some times say
something we shouldn't say. In all the years I have been here, I have very rarely ever
reported any member here for anything. Very rare. When I do, you can bet they have
been warned many times over and that I see them as harmful to ClixSense and the
members within.

It has nothing to do with my gallbladder removal.
