The Curse Of ClixSense ..............

Locked

#1 by proadco » Sat Oct 26, 2019 19:40

When ClixSense changed ownership, it caused a mass tsunami across the internet.

Other websites are experience tremendous outages with many Surveys not paying.

There is no information available how long this curse will stay active.

Unoriginal title, you want to reach a wide market - the movie should be called "Maintenance", it could be a movie or documovie, could even be monetised and released on YouTube as well, there is also good potential for a great cast lineup    yes, there can be some vilains and heroes, plots and so many twists that will have you feeling dizzy........

No hope that this curse will be lifted as the support here seems to me as the worst ever experienced.clicksense was the best site and due to that I have deep affection to Jim but feel sorry that he sold such a nice site to prodege which has no loyality to the members here.Thought earlier that this site would be as good as clicksense within 2-3 months after the change but nothing good is seen to happen especially the support which is getting worst day by day.I wonder what these people are concentratng on.Have they bought clicksense to destroy it or is it really a curse of clicksense ?Whatever may be it is a great blow to most hardworking members here

Well the good news is that support should not matter in how good the site would be, that is just one element. I've freelanced before for a company that had just as HORRIBLE support, but their earning opportunities were great. You see, as long as you do not require help or come into issues requiring support, that's usually the preferred outcome for any given company, most support issues can be self supported on forum (users helping other users), unfortunately, member account issues can only be resolved by an official support person. And believe me, this site does not have the worse support, there is far far worse, I've experienced it and I don't want to name names ;)

It was probably his best option $$$$$ wise, I don't think another single owner or small GPT would have afforded the asking price :P So it is only logical that a big company with spending power buys the small company, that's how it usually happens, the big fish swallow the small fish ......Also I have reason to believe that Prodege had its eyes on CS for years now, one of its admin has been a member on the forum since 2014, mind you this is just a theory and not a fact, but if it is true, you'd think they would know what they were getting into and what makes its members tick :P
But I will leave this one for the conspiracy theory experts here :P

The psychic friends network denied any refunds, they are nowhere to be found for comment, they left the building
But I keep asking the Swedish Chef for his opinion on a daily basis, but I somehow cannot understand what he's saying, he keeps throwing stuff in the air, what's he trying to say :P

For surveys some countries are doing well, some members are doing well, more or less like CS, maybe better, maybe equal, depends, unfortunately for other members / countries less to no surveys, I don't know why, - and for tasks, it is the same, it did not change, as tasks are entirely dependent on F8, and the transition from CS to yS has not changed anything for tasks, luckily that remained intact. For surveys things are different because they must outsource them through different companies.

I don't know - I've done some extensive research on acquisitions, and unfortunately I have found disturbing information. There are many cases where acquisitions have worsened the experience for the company being acquired, and in some cases ran the business to the ground! There are many examples of that here in Canada, companies that have been acquired and run to the ground and business completely destroyed but these were mostly retail chains.

As far as rewards site, most acquisitions have worsened the experience, here are some examples which I already gave in other topics:

*Greenfield Online - It was a great direct survey panel, I did many surveys with them, support was great, payment was fast, by check, and the survey values were high too, not cents but few dollars, and quite a few high value projects like $50-$75 1 hour focus groups. They were eventually acquired by Toluna, one improvement was that Toluna supported PayPal, but where things became worse are the MINIMUM requirements to get paid (60,000 points) I think that is equivalent to $50, and the rate per survey became much lower, and there is a long delay for a survey to approve and receive points. This is when I quit Toluna direct panel, but fortunately Toluna outsources its surveys through ThinkAction, a company that it operates and runs branded routers like OpinionSurveys, Give2Cents, etc, and you get paid instantly through those, but for the direct panel experience it's worse than Greenfield. Their direct panel support is also bad. Their survey inventory though is great, Toluna is a good provider, BUT unfortunately its direct panel is not as good as Greenfield.

*Opinion Outpost, that was probably one of the highest paying direct survey panel, I was also a member of that for years, they too paid by check, promptly, great support, high pay rate, most surveys were $3-$4, sometimes more, the surveys were fun, and mostly short. Unfortunately one day, and suddenly, they were acquired by SSI (Survey Sampling International) another great provider of surveys, BUT as a direct panel they pretty much suck, so after acquisition, they too added PayPal and gift cards, BUT their survey pay rate went down big time, to eventually most of their surveys are 60c on the direct panel, very few are a little higher. Their support is HORRIBLE, and the frequency of surveys has gone down BIG time, so I left SSI, and now do their surveys through their routers, OpinionWorld, where I have a better experience than the direct panel. So these are only a few examples among many, where rewards site have been made worse after an acquisition, I'm not aware of any that closed, at least not the ones I was on, but they did substantially worsen .... In my research, 100% of the survey panels / rewards site that were acquired were worse off on many levels, and better off on SOME levels, but mostly worse.... This is a research and statistic, it does not mean it will happen here necessarily, but so far, it's on point, experience has worsened for some, and few elements are better, for some.

BTW the research I did was long term, it was not in the months after acquisition but YEARS later those survey panels that were acquired are still in the same situation, in fact SSI's own panel has worsened year after year, it was my favourite though, even after they acquired OpinionOutpost, but eventually as months / year progressed their surveys are less and payment rates reduced to mostly 60 points (60c) per survey, and horrible support Most of the good direct panels I was on got acquired and worsened, so this is when I joined CS and another panel for surveys, which are far better than direct panels. To my knowledge the one remaining survey panel remaining that is still decent is PINECONE research, they pay a FIXED $3 per survey, most surveys are quite short, they also send food, beverage and products to your home for testing, and they support a massive rewards store, including PayPal cash, and yes you can withdraw your FULL balance, they use denoms there too, but you can set the quantity, and payments are processed within 1-2 days max. Unfortunately that panel only accepts members on special invites or special campaigns, it's hard to get on, sadly, I was banned from the panel due to inactivity, not responding to new surveys, because I was busy with other projects, only open to US and Canada though....But I imagine if one day they get acquired, the rates will be much lower.

So as far as here, the future is a big question mark, unknown, even after 3 months there is still no clear indication, the more months go by without anything significant, the more they may lose some of their most active and committed members - it's harder to find NEW active members than maintain the committed ACTIVE members IMO, they should really think about that and invest in that. You are not in a bad situation though since you have a good source of income outside site, unfortunately for some, the site IS the sole income for now, so worse case scenario if site goes belly up, you will not lose much, though many will, hopefully things turn around for you and other members who are not doing well here, though in my opinion, I cannot honestly see any hint or indication that things will improve, as the communication has clearly diminished big time.

But who knows right ? People win the lottery sometimes, and miracles do happen :P
I'm assuming you are also a member of NB right ? Are you doing well over there like some others claim ?

I only stopped Neo since they lost their PayPal, skrill and neteller are not good options for Canada, and unfortunately Fernando (the admin) does not like the idea of Payoneer, maybe we should try to convince him ;) I wish this site was just as good in terms of communication and support, on that site, the admin is active and communicates, only thing is that their topics get closed quickly , it's time for their site to shine now, they have a huge opportunity.......But nobody lasts forever, one day that other site will go through the same faith, get sold or shut down, although the admin shows no clues as to wanting so, but still, nobody lives forever, but if one day they do decide on selling it will be tough, they are a PTC, they will have to get rid of PTC and convert to a full fledged GPT....

The code is very precious it probably would have NASA scratching their heads, was a difficult choice, someone had to win the bid for acquiring advanced technology :P It came close though, governments wanted only the code, request denied, it's a package, reward site and users, no code alone, no can do........ Maybe next round, very likely :P

The only solution is to restore ClixSense to it's original state of being. ClixSense superior alien coding is
to advance for 19th century coding.

I haven't been on this site very often since ysense took over. I was waiting to see what was going to happen. Doesn't seem too encouraging. The few times I've been here, I haven't made a penny. I just spent 3 hours here today and no cents today either but in the offers, I've getting lots of crappy telemarketing phone calls because I tried to complete an offer which too me over a half hour to get to the very last detail and, wouldn't you know it, it told me my email was invalid!!!! So, I lost out on those cents too. I'm furious. I want to cash out but I don't have enough for what I want so I'll have to pick something I really don't want.

I agree I have been working online for most the last decade in my spare time on many sites overt the years.....Clixsense was always the one I deemed my most profitable that I ever tried and it became such a good income for me that I advertised them in videos on my youtube channel and promted the site for a couple years......but now the site has fell off the face of the earth.....so to speak in my opinion ....everyday I log in I am wasting my time uness I am willing to do a survey for 40 cents that I can do on another site for $2.....its just a waste of my time.....I keep looking daily for something worth the trouble to do just to get up one last time to cash out for something I want but at the same time I really dont want to waste my time doing 20 min surveys that pay nothing.......and to the few who were claiming in this thread that the current site by far doesnt have the worst customer support.....trust me I been around....sites that are worse than this one now with customer support are sites that will almost never pay out people and come and go like the wind......there have been dozens over the years that never pay or pay every 6 months so forth so on you know the ones like Panda Research that you need $50 to cash out and then they will tell you after you get it that there was for some reason some this or that they can't pay you without you first doing 50 things that you already had to do in order to create an account in first place and then they claim it takes 6 to 8 weeks for a paypal payment to go through and swear that they sent it out but that its all paypal's fault and act like paypal has your money when you can call paypal and they will tell you those sites are lying lying lying......kinda like honestly it doesnt take but seconds to issue a payment through paypal or gift card...how do I know...I get gift cards daily from focus groups I am in my email...as soon as I earn something or cash out for something instantly I get a email with the link to redeem the gift card so on....paypal the same there are several sites right now you cash out and boom the money is in your paypal within seconds.....and any so called big company that claims it takes days or weeks simply is praying that you just forget about it and they can keep the money like a Panda ....or they are like here just refusing to take the time to bother processing the payments because they do not have a system set up like others do that will instantly issue payments for them......the fact that this site no longer offers higher paying surveys through better routers and only offers surveys now through middle men routers its a waste of time doing surveys here that if you have worked online long as me you know that cint and spectrum and opinion world so on are all just middle men and most the surveys they get you will be redirected right to yes samplico....or others higher paying sites.....to complete a survey that on many other panels you can do for several dollars more.......google search and join the ones that are harder to become a member and get surveys by mail at home or through email to complete and you will make way more money by far.....join sites that offer samplico and say so rewards.....because if your spending hours on end doing surveys through cint and these others your getting ripped off by middle men pirates takeing large cuts of what you could make doing the same surveys elsewhere.....I no longer have any referrals like years ago here with a downline so once I finally get to the balance I want to cash out once again I will no longer waste my time logging in at all or wishing that the site would be even half as profitable as it once was for me.....I am fully ready to say goodbye as soon as I get a few more dollars earned.....and when I do this time....after seeing how downhill things has gotten as the weeks go by...I wont be back...I will close my account

And how do you propose that ??? Company runs and operates multiple site, there is common code they've been using since day 1, normal code that is.......... Integrating alien technology with legacy code is quite complex, so the easiest part is to integrate whatever CAN be integrated, and you know what the rest :P The only other solution is building code from scratch ..... Only now we realise how lucky we were to be on a site with such advanced technology that even Area 51 workers would envy :P

StetsonRebel wrote: .and to the few who were claiming in this thread that the current site by far doesnt have the worst customer support.....trust me I been around....sites that are worse than this one now with customer support are sites that will almost never pay out people and come and go like the wind.....

For legal reasons I cannot name names, and if some know which I am talking about I am asking not to mention it here....but there is one place I have in mind that has atrocious support, it's not a PTC or GPT....... As far as GPTs I have seen small or medium GPTs with horrible support as well with admins that cussed out their members by e-mail or other channels if members as much as complained. Another company I have in mind, if you as much as report inappropriate behaviour from official staff, they will retaliate against you and campaign to the higher chain of command to get you blocked permanently regardless of your years of service and good work! Believe me, in terms of bad communication, bad HORRIBLE support, there is worse in PTC, GPT, and other industries. I've even been on a site that was similar to how things work here, people left int he cold, many issues unresolved, no communication, bad support, in the initial years they tolerated complaints and criticism - in later years they became crooked and went against anybody who did not praise them.

One thing I can say though, in all my time in the GPT industry, one thing I see on this site and have NEVER EVER seen anywhere else is the red tape / politics behind payment processors (i.e. removal of PayPal for Canadian members), not allowing FULL balance cashout for cash methods, not allowing multiple denoms to be combined, not allowing a quantity to be set for denoms.......There is another popular GPT that has been running even long before SB, they support gift codes (so many), cash back, and cash methods, and have ALWAYS allowed members to cash out their FULL cash balance to PayPal, or set a custom value, and for gift codes, you could add multiple to your cart and checkout, so this I can say that this site is the very worse I have seen so far in that area. In terms of bad support it is on par with the bad support I have seen elsewhere, though some sites may lead in that horrible territory.

Quote:
or they are like here just refusing to take the time to bother processing the payments because they do not have a e that if you have worked online long as me you know that cint and spectrum and opinion world so on are all just middle men and most the surveys they get you will be redirected right to yes samplico....or others higher paying sites....

Yep I know the drill, but you are comparing direct panels with affiliate panels / routers. I started with direct panels myself, I'm sure you heard of GreenfieldOnline, OpinionOutpost, etc, there were very high paid panels in those days, surveys were paid anywhere from a few dollars, usually $5, sometimes $10, and in some special cases $50-$75 for special 1-2 hour focus group, special activities, etc. Those were the years were these sites paid by check. I even won a sweepstakes on one of those sites, twice, 1 x $10, 1 x $100 on Greenfield. Unfortunately these direct panels became worse year after year, Greenfield was acquired by Toluna, and they changed policy to make it harder to cashout, with a high minimum, 60,000 points, delaying credits until survey is approved, lowering the pay per survey, etc, so I left it. Then opinion outpost which was probably one of the top, average of $3-$5 per s urvey, very good support, fast payments by check, etc, they were acquired by SSI, I was a member of their direct panel, and they started lowering the rates for their surveys, where most pay 60 cents, only few a bit higher. So I quit. I was a member of Web Perspectives, it was good at first and became worse and worse over the years, I quit that. Same for GlobalTestMarket, etc, etc, there is PineCone research which pays $3 fixed per survey, + $3 for sending you products to test at home, they have remained good so far. I was earning good money from direct panel in the days, BUT believe it or not when things became worse, I joined GPT sites, yes they use middleman routers, BUT I found that I was earning more money on a GPT than on direct panels ! The router brings together surveys from MULTIPLE sources in one, yes the individual rate of survey is a fraction of what you would earn on a direct panel, BUT the volume more than makes up for it. I was consistently earning $300-$500 a month on CS in those glory years. Most of the direct panels have their OWN clients and do not outsource, so they pay well.......A router will usually deal with providers, one of the biggest and most common is LUCID, they partner with many different brands and routers - Samplicio is just one example of branding operated by LUCID, and outsourced to other routers. ThinkAction is operated by Toluna, and OpinionWorld operated by SSI, for me anyways, I find there are more surveys on a GPT site than on these direct panels alone, which have a higher cashout minimum and lower amount of surveys.

It's true that that same survey you do no 40 cents in a router can be done for probably $5-$10 depending on the survey, but long term, if you are in a category where you get less surveys on those direct panels, then you would benefit more from a router, since the router will outsource from multiple provider so in theory, more surveys over that same period of time so more $$$, you would only be spending more time. You would probably have to be signed up for so many individual direct panels to take their surveys at the source, and have to manage those multiple sites, and each site having their own minimum payout, which is why GPT became popular over the years.
On Toluna, for example, you need 60,000 points to cashout, and once you complete a survey you do not get credit right away, only at project closure and approval, which can take anywhere from weeks to months. On a GPT you will get paid instantly. On one of the rewards site I am on, Toluna is paid $1 per completion, up to 5 a day, pays instant, and they have no cashout minimum......it's 1 cent minimum and pays by PayPal within 24-48 hours, so the lower pay router is a compromise, in some cases for some members in the short to long term it is more profitable.

GPT has been profitable for me over the years, I would never have earned that through a direct panel, even many combined. Many of the surveys I complete are higher paid $1 or more. On this site I have filled an IPSOS survey about food consumption, for almost $5....... Many election type surveys for $1-$3, etc. Unfortunately for some members / countries for some reason they get mostly the low paid ones, I avoid low paid surveys unless I am really stuck, I do the higher paid ones first, and low paid ones only if the survey length is reasonable.

So yes routers are just that they route you to surveys, they get paid a commission per completion, the provider that feeds the routers also gets paid per completion, the site owner here gets paid, and you get a cut....... Some routers even outsource other routers..... One of the worst places do to surveys are external walls, so I avoid those. I like OpinionWorld, it sources exclusively from SSI, and pays 84 cents here, I get far more surveys here than I ever got daily on SSI directly. YourSurveys (P2Sample) outsources from MULTIPLE partners, LUCID, Toluna, etc, and the rates are variable. So yeah obviously a GPT has middlemen that each earn a cut....but being on a GPT is like being signed up with a large amount of direct panels, it may work for some members and not for others though. I've quit most direct panels to focus on GPT due to higher earnings. close to $400 earned here this month including sponsor RCB, only problem is that for now there is no good way for me to cash out until they resolve an issue with PP.

If direct panels work better for you, then all the better, besides, 50% of my earnings here over the years came from crowd tasks, something you do not find on direct panels, and since I have a sponsor who shares a % of his earnings with me, even more incentive to stay - there are people earning thousands of $ per month on tasks alone, unfortunately not me, though in the glory years I earned $300-$500+ consistently month to month, this month here would be exceptional with nearly $400, half from surveys..... because normally it's very quiet for me in tasks.
Some people also want access to their money faster, where on those individual direct panels you would have to reach their individual minimums, which can be difficult for some... The outsourcing business reduces your earning potential, BUT in some cases volume makes up for it. I've been working directly / freelancing for one of those providers directly, for years, and earned 5 figures working for them, 4 figure a month, whatever works for each individual I guess.

Since when did CS ever needed to be babysitted by other programs under the same roof.

ClixSense is the ruler of all sense, it's GodSense - it's coding is a one of kind.

ClixSense was built to have it's own Admin panel, otherwise things will break due to the curse of ClixSense.

Lucky for us Jim could walk, chew gum, and even bowl at the same time :P Again, this is the difference between mom & pop, or single owner sites vs. large corporations, multinationals, multisite operators, it's never gonna come even close, but it doesn't have to remain mediocre on many levels forever though, it doesn't have to, it just needs the right business people with good will who look at long term - sometimes making concessions pays off financially in the long run, but can we expect that from profit-only-driven companies, nope. People often say encourage your local businesses, but these businesses are often CRUSHED by big corporations and takeover. The amount of small businesses are disappearing, people are struggling because of the big fish swimming in the ocean .......And again, this is part of the new world order - eliminate the middle class, eliminate the small business, and the rich and large corporations rule the world - and since there would be no competition they could set their own policies, prices, etc, and consumers would have no f****** choice, welcome to the New World, your only way to survive this new world is either follow what's stated in Revelations, but with dire consequences, OR read the book Brave New World , if one could rid our brains with emotions and all thoughts, problem solved, that's what the book is about, no more brainwash no more BS, people should seriously read this book before attending one of Obama's conferences :P

ClixSense is the ruler of all sense, it's GodSense - it's coding is a one of kind.

Jim is probably reading the forums I'm sure he will be flattered with all those compliments
One thing that I really miss from CS is their in site support system. The interface for sending and receiving tickets was one of a kind, the best I have seen, you could manage your inbound and outbound support tickets on the same site, in a tidy way....

ClixSense was built to have it's own Admin panel, otherwise things will break due to the curse of ClixSense.

BTW, in Singapore you can get arrested for chewing gum in public :P
