Cellphones in general bad for society. Only thing worse is robo calls. I no longer answer phone 90% of time no one answers. When they do on answering machine they only say hello. When I do answer I threaten them by saying going get warrant for their arrest for harassment and restraining order. I have a cell phone as no more pay phones. I turn it on for one minute a month when need to use it. There a lady at Walmart keeps trying cell me a cellphone I reply devil invented it so that makes her accessory to the devil. She stopped asking after first few times. Pretty sure hundreds of thousands died due to cell phone. I hate getting in car due all dumb people use them while driving.

While I must say that Cell Phones have changed the way we communicate with others I must say it adds to more problems.

One problem I must note is people using the device behind the wheel of the car. I can not tell you how many people I see each year that are texting behind the wheel.

Another problem I have noticed is the general cost of these devices are outstanding. Just this year the basic iPhone will be $749. That is a $50 hike from last year's basic iPhone 8.

My final problem I have noticed is that kids are more addicted to what is going on with YouTube rather than going outside to play with friends, and to hangout. This revolution has changed the dating world. I have met my significant other on the internet rather than on a typical meet up.

Phones have done a lot of good but the bad typically overshadows what they have done.

It's really one of the top dumbest things, in my opinion. All of that.

The iPhone, well I don't know why anyone would throw money away on it. I suspect it is simply
because everyone else seemingly does. There may be some sort of important reason for using
it but I am not sure what it is.

Texting and even Talking on a phone while driving, is mighty dumb too. Why risk your life to
talk or text or use a phone while driving? Stupid is as Stupid does.

LOL, people have become comåletely addicted screen junkies and i have several times seen them walking into a lamp post in the more crowded areas of Copenhagen

I hate being on the internet on smartphones cause the UI is so small and often your greasy fingers presses the wrong areas on the screen and messes up your search, So i actually only use mine for text messaging.

It's not only people in cars that's a danger to themselves anymore, Here in Copenhagen i daily see people on bicycle texting away with no hands on their steering wheel, And add that they also listen to music in their heaphones at the same time is completely insane (talk about taking your focus away from your surroundings).

Smartphone zombie-apocalypse is coming

I get wer'e you're going at, But our use of technology will only increase.

I'm not afraid of technology per se, But im afraid of what it might socially replace in the future.

My reason's for having a smartphone is as obvious as everyone else (It's quite litteraly forced on you), If i want in contact with people i need one (Simple as that).

I prefer talking to real people : yeah compared to that, Social media is incredibly boring. But hey!! without the internet we wouldn't have the choice to earn from Clixsense (Unless surveys wer'e done by letter) :D

I use TracFone. I have been using that service for several years now and I
kick myself for previously paying for years, every month, to Verizon.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Smart phone. Usually every year I buy a new one.
This year, just weeks ago, I bought one for $79 and as usual it came with
1500 minutes and also text/data. I can access the internet, take photo's,
check email, etc etc etc.

For me, I am not one to chit chat on the cell phone for hours every day.
My conversation is like 'Hello, yes I am on my way, bye'. :D

I do also have 'voice' at home. I make most of my calls on my home phone.
So usually 1500 minutes will last me an entire year and some times longer.

That is what I am saying. While others are paying hundreds or thousands
of dollars for an iPhone plus paying monthly fees. My cost is usually less
than $100 for an entire year for the phone and all.

The fees are annoying.

I do have the latest iPhone 8, and I see the need in it since I am freelancer, and I use it for work, and home.

I do write it off as a business expense so I guess it kind of pays to have this phone in my hand. I did Uber for years, and did food delivery recently as a part time gig (1099-Misc)

I wish these companies would lower the price, and offer more benefits, and that's why I am grateful for what TMobile has done to shake this market up.

Everybody is different with their needs. I know one thing I hate is seeing people use them phones behind the car's wheel. Like walking, and talking is one thing but texting, and walking is annoying when I just have to pass you, or when I am riding my bike, I say I am on the right, and they just do not hear me.

Only screen I addicted to is one of my 10 Kindles. I have so many ebooks keep having to buy more of them. But they way cheaper than actual books so I way ahead still. I read up to twenty books a day on a good day.

WOW! That's insane! So you are a book worm? :P!

I can not read a digital book. Its hard for me to focus on the screen. I am going to try to read again using my iPad.

I am also opposed to digital books because I work in the printing industry, and its really nice to watch how books are made, and then given that beautiful cover.

True Fact: 85% of books ( including text books) are printed in the USA.
