Warning to USA Skrill users

#1 by Bizz2016 » Mon Mar 20, 2017 11:53

If you are not aware yet, don't find out the hard way like I just did. Skrill is going to try and charge you $5.50 to withdraw funds to your bank account. Further, you cannot use Skrill at places like ebay and amazon so if your in the USA and dont want to throw money you worked hard to earn away. STAY AWAY FROM SKRILL IN THE USA.

Not sure why you would choose it. I am sure some people in the USA that has their own reasons
might choose it, such as administrators that offer it as a payment option. However, I doubt many
USA people use it.

Just guessing but if you are going to continue to use it, I would suggest waiting til you have a
larger sum to transfer. You can review their information but usually it is a lot less overall to
transfer out larger amounts other than small amounts.

I strongly suggest USA members simply use the check option. Like I have stated and displayed
in the Payment Option sub forum, if you don't have a bank account you can get that blue card
thru american express and credit check and its free.

You know if you want to use money online, once you have the funds in your bank account, you
can always go into your PayPal and transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal...OR
use a debit/credit card. Just saying.

There old site banned USA for years. They used send checks to USA for dollar only reason used them. No clue why anyone in USA not request a check. It's only a dollar fee yes takes lot longer than other methods but worth it for money saved in fees. $200 check fee is 1/2%. $400 than 1/4%. $1000 than 1/10%. Doubt get cheaper than that most want 1-2%.
