Could a Robot Run For President in 2020?

Machines are set to leave half of the world’s population unemployed within 30 years, experts have warned, with the arrival of technology that is “able to outperform humans at almost any task.”

At the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), computer scientist Moshe Vardi suggested self-driving cars would replace taxi drivers, delivery drones would usurp postal workers and even sex workers would be out of work thanks to improvements made to “sex robots.”

One role immune to the upcoming job apocalypse, presumably, would be that of the president of the United States of America.

In 2020 you will see a field emerge with competing AI robots for president, who want to debate and discuss policy. It’s unlikely any of them will be sophisticated enough to take on the job, but I do believe by 2028 robots may be suitable for political office—including the presidency.”

No no no, That would never work.

All the most important trait's like : Cheating,Lying,Manipulating,Doublecrossing,Greed,Self obsession,Dishonesty,Flying on 1st class (Paid by Tax-payers),Buying expensive shoes worth at least 400$ (also funded by tax of course!) Would be completely lost.

This is what our Prime-minister defended himself with,After stripping thousands of Multi-millionaire wealthfare refugees of all their valuables at the Danish border.

I know what I'd be doing with that bot!

Supervising it putting up the wall in the bathroom hubby has been putting off for over a year. ;)

Then it would be putting together the armoire. Painting the walls, finishing the upstairs flooring, digging out the obstruction in a pipeline, then tilling our back yard. LOL

Hubby's honey-do list would get shorter and shorter.

Until the day robots create themselves and program themselves, humans are still required for building robots.

by the time Robots take over the world, many of us will be long gone, you'll be eating ramen noodles in the after life ! :D in another dimension / universe :D
