I've read several interesting posts in this forum, some of them Very Helpful to me. I've looked & hovered my mouse over them closely but while I can see who 'Liked' a post, I can't seem to find a button to click to 'Like' one.
Can anyone tell me where/what it is??

You should see the like options at the top of the box the post is in that you want to like.
Move your mouse across the inside top of the box if you don't see the like/thanks option.

You have to make a certain amount of post before it shows up, I think at least 5.

but all I see at the top is the "Quote" box that can be clicked on, nothing else even when hovering mouse over all areas

Its not 5 but 10 posts.
Only after you have 10 posts on the forum, you will be able to "like" posts.

yes it is some of them is nice to no about

There is also an UNLIKE button at the right bottom corner of the respective post, if you change your mind
and want to remove a like.

I wish FaceBook had a "Dislike" button sometimes
cause Some posts you don't 'like' but want to acknowledge ya know??

Seems like there is a 'thumbs down' on facebook posts, some times.

Based on your stats Valerie : Likes Received 4,240/1,638 , why does it show two values? Is it for either like or thanks?

Mouse over it.

When you mouse over the 'likes received' you'll see it says the amount of likes received within the amount of posts.

'likes' and 'thanks' are the same thing

I know what you mean it was long requested but it is something that Mark Zuckerberg never wanted and a feature that will never be seen on Facebook He wanted to put emphasis on the positive.

On the good side, posts you don't acknowledge or dislike you can still post on the respective account walls
(if they allow you to) and write your "disagreements". Some people are not shy of their opinions and very
"colorful" in their disliking someone's post. Personally I don't have a facebook account yet but I have read
lots of public facebook walls
