Scheduled Maintenance

Members on Saturday August 13th at 3am EST the ClixSense website will be taken offline for maintenance. We will be adding new servers to help with our growth and at the same time migrating data to these new servers. We estimate that we can bring the site back online by 7pm EST on Saturday August 13th.

We apologize for the length of time we will be offline but this upgrade is necessary and will help ensure that as we continue to grow you do not experience a slowdown in our website performance.

Site Issues

Hello Everyone, first let me apologize for the issues today. Over the last several weeks we have been the target of a hacker who I believe first created the bot csadviewer and then moved on to submitting ads that when a viewer opened an attachment that popped up they got infected and their PC was compromised. Today, this hacker changed our DNS to a gay porn site. They removed our websites and email and of course with it being Sunday its hard to get any support. My phone has been ringing off the hook and my email blowing up. Please do not call or write in. We're definitely aware of this problem.

PLEASE NOTE!!!!!

The ClixSense servers were not hacked and all of our servers are still intact and your account information was not effected. As I said above, its a DNS hack. It may take a bit for the site to fully come back online due to propagation but it will be back as soon as possible.

Again, I am sorry this happened and it's certainly not the way I planned to start my Sunday.

Recent Issues

Members as I am sure you have heard, on Sunday Sept 3rd a hacker took over our DNS and set ClixSense to redirect to a porn site. This hacker has been giving us trouble for over a month now first with the program csadviewer (we think), then with viruses in ads and now the DNS hack.

Please note that none of your information is at risk or has been exposed. This person did not gain access to our servers or database. We've heard that other sites have also been hacked and we will follow up with the authorities on Tuesday and give them as much information as possible about what this person has done to ClixSense.

We are truly sorry that this as effected your ability to participate here at ClixSense and also please know that extra security measures are being put in place to make sure this sort of thing does not happen again.

We appreciate your support during this terrible time and thank you for being a member of ClixSense.

Hurricane Matthew

Members, this coming weekend we are projected to be in the path of hurricane Matthew. It's quite possible that we will lose power and internet sometime over the weekend due to the strength of this hurricane. This means there may be a delay in answering your support requests or approving your ads or purchases.

Our local news has the hurricane reaching us about 2am EST this weekend and still being a category 2 storm. (www.wect.com/story/33…rent-track) We are near Wilmington on this map.

We wanted to keep you up to date on this developing situation incase there are any delays.

Members, it has come to our attention that some advertisers are attempting to use sneaky tactics to get you to open an attachment or popups in an ad. We do not allow any popups or auto downloads in ads so it you happen to see anything like this first do not open it, regardless of what it says. Secondly report the website to us so we can remove it. Some of these downloads may say, ClixSense $20.00 winner, or ClixSense prize or something else to get you to open it. We will NEVER put anything in an ad like this so DO NOT OPEN THESE and report them immediately.

Update on payments

Members, as many of you are aware there have been issues that are out of our control with some of the payment processors we're using for cashouts.
Neteller has stopped accepting any deposits from USA customers and Payza is again having issues with accepting USA deposits as well. We've also been told that Payza is unable to process any ACH (bank withdrawal) or send checks to USA customers. This makes it nearly impossible for us to pay via these methods when we cannot deposit money to them.

For those of you who use Tango Card there have been intermittent issues with the bitcoin processor they use (Snapcard) and frequently they run out of bitcoin. Hopefully this situation will get better with time.

Paypal seems to be the most solid option right now so we're requesting if any of you have a Paypal account and are able to use it to please do so. We want to make sure you're paid. In the meantime we've been searching for replacements for Neteller and Payza and have contacted Skrill and Payoneer. We're also considering adding a bitcoin processor so you can cashout directly to bitcoin.

We will keep you updated on this as we move forward.

Members, it appears there is an issue on the Paypal platform that is causing our payments to be delayed. If you check the status of your Paypal cashout and it says processing then your cashout was done but not yet processed by Paypal.

We're not sure how long it will take for them but Paypal did post a message on their system status page that there is an issues on their platform.
