Dax, my imagination's gone wild -- and I find myself laughing:

Quote:Google will now smell

 Will it 'smell' in a good way -- moreover, I wonder what happens when someone googles "skunk", or "sweaty gym socks", or "sweaty arm pits" -- will they experience it first-hand?! ( the horror!-- )

A little edit -- seems like the Youtube shutdown was due to an April Fools prank ( best check the calendars -- it was April 1st, after all )

 Reference source -- YouTube announces shutdown in April Fool’s prank | Inquirer Technology

No no no you got it wrong, it is google SMELL, not an odour generator lol google smell is an app where the device will SMELL and detect. It is a smell recognising device the same way speech and image recognition works and the same way soundhound works ........ :D Actually the smell technology already exists so I'm not surprised if ti will be a feature on google maybe in a couple of years.

Have bad breath ? No problem just blow on the device and let google smell tell you about yourself based on your smell........

Google does come up with some good ones on April 1st every year. They present it in such a way that sometimes (or should I say most of the times ;) ) you tend to believe it.
I fell for their Gmail Paper service

For those interested, here is the entire list : List of Google's hoaxes and easter eggs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yeah imagine the monetising going on during April 1st. Even on that day some companies are pocketing good money, and google is no exceptions :D

Maybe Google's future Google Nose + will be able to sniff a scam a mile away and tell you to avoid certain sites in advance.

Perhaps next year it can be the Google Aura Detector + :D
