guys please solve this

i had two bank accounts,in both of them my surname is at the end of my name.But in my PAN card Lol it is before the name.what i do now !! for veification of my Paypal account.

It should not be a problem. Try verifying.. It may not be the constraint.. I too have my first and last name reversed on pan card..

no the thing happened was i added my bank a/c and PAN no in paypal ...it took sometime and at last i got verified.also i recieved my first payment from Clixsense.But the next day itself my account was limited showing invalid PAN,so i contacted paypal representive and got a suggestion to change my paypal name.he also deleted my bank details and asked me to enter bank details again.

i remember one of our fellow members daxserver has mentioned in one of his posts that his paypal was also limited due to this . i have no proof of what he posted in detail somewhere in this forum but have a link which may explain a little about it Indian users must see this . it would be better to get an suggestion from daxserver .

According to PayPal,
  1. Name on PayPal account
  2. Name on bank account
  3. Name on PAN card
should exactly match.

So, You may have to change your name where ever necessary.

What is your official name according to Government Documents like Passport/10th class/Inter or any Government ID?

Did you give the same on your account when opening? If not change it.
Did you give the same on your PAN card? If not change it.
Did you give the same on PayPal account? If not change it.*

*Regarding name on PayPal, check this note. If your name does not follow name convention, enter as it appears on any legal document.


Give more details about name, so that I can assist more.

In the conversation with PayPal Representative, I got this in one mail.

PayPal_Representative wrote:In order for your PAN to be validated successfully the name in your PayPal account, bank account and PAN card should exactly match.

To know your PAN card visit

and give your surname and date of birth it will retrieve your PAN from Income Tax Dept. database.

Oh.. I verified my paypal long back.. May be in 2009 2010.. I am lucky then..

hello kanthsai , i just had an quick chat with daxserver who also faced an similar situation earlier . He just made me aware that there is an possibility to change the surname in your PAN card . the procedure for that is you can do that by two methods.

1. You can do that by yourself online go to

but you have to be very cautious not to make any mistakes in filling the forms .

2.Approach an PAN card agent . He is just an intermediate person who takes care of all legal stuff . i don't know a way to find him as we are all separated by different localities , but daxserver tried this method and now he has cleared the paypal limitations (by changing the surname).

He also wanted me to convey that he has not yet made a cashout with his new paypal . Lets hope for the best .

No.

But, why do you want to refund the payment?
In any case, if you refund the payment then you will have to open a Helpdesk ticket and explain the transaction details.
