DON LAPRE died in his jail cell in October last year. You may have heard of the 'The Greatest Vitamin in the World'.
He was primarily known as the 'king of info-commercials'.

'Lapre was indicted for 41 counts of conspiracy and fraud. The case involved the claims of about 222,000 people and approximately $52 million. The charges came four years after Lapre was sent a "cease and desist" order from the USDA for claims he and his company made about the effectiveness of "The Greatest Vitamin in the World."'
from yahoo news report

PS. They said it was suicide but don't know if they finally determined it to be or not.

Especially at only 47 years old and the millions he had made. Of course, he was facing a lot of prison time.

Well, in one hand -- he accomplished what a few ever dreamed: make a lot of money. Too bad, looks like he won't be able to take it with him anymore ( *heheh* )

:?: Wondering though... does that mean the money he gained through those years will ever be returned, or distributed to charity? To the government?

Guess that's going to be another story all together ( *nod, nod* )

They probably have frozen all his assets until they have some sort of hearing about it.
I doubt people will get any money back but maybe.
